Re: RPI 2010 Off-Season Thread II -- We Can Rebuild Them. We Have the Technology!

I've tried to keep track over the years and according to my records, you are correct. Seven former Engineers (Carter, Hammond, Healey, Juneau, Nienhuis, Oates, and Townshend) have played for the Bruins.

Ottawa (Hammond, Juneau, Pothier, and Townshend) and Toronto (Dallman, Hammond, Landon, and Puppa) are tied for second at four apiece.

Thanks for doing the research-I had thought it was Boston that had the most former RPI players but was not sure if it was 6 or 7. Healey was the one I had possibly overlooked since he did not play many games for them. The Juneau-Oates-Neeley line however stood out:)

Re: RPI 2010 Off-Season Thread II -- We Can Rebuild Them. We Have the Technology!

Long story but Addesa wanted to take program to another level. Rebuild HFH go to Hockey East. Addesa made many mistakes as we all know but it is true he wanted to do these things and roadblocks were put up by admin and ad office. Of course he should have been fired for his remarks. I think I am off topic. Let's not take away from good news. Fire away WS

While I'm not interested in rehashing the Big Mike era yet again, aside from your apparent paranoia about me, you're facts are correct as they have been told me. Addessa was often his own worst enemy because of his "my way or the highway" approach to the program, which grew tiring to the brass over time. The "incident" was the last straw, but certainly was not the sole reason Mike was let go.

I'd agree although it could be a currently unknown recruit or even JL.

As much as I know Doc & RB will hate me for saying this, I would not be heartbroken to see JL play a year under Monty's tutelage...it would be a good thing for him...taking on the big boys (literally) night in and night out.

asked Monty who the 2 are...he said Curadi & Quinn

Thanks.

BTW was a preliminary version of next year's schedule given out this year? I suspect not since no one mentioned it.

I'll take a guess that we will see another Dman recruited for next season. As of now we have seven including Brutlag and Beauregard. (Kennedy, Foss, Bergin, Bailen and Leboeuf)

I would be upset-Jenny and I just got our tickets for AC for march 18 and 19, 2011 and I do not relish watching 4 other teams play. JL comes to Troy this year and I figure we are a lock for the finals. ;)

Did you expect anything else? Coach SA has been optimistic since he got to Troy-only this time, most of us finally agree with him!:p

BTW Doc, I don't believe JL is headed to the USHL. :p

Re: RPI 2010 Off-Season Thread II -- We Can Rebuild Them. We Have the Technology!

The soap opera continues re: OSU's vacancy...including a report that DU's Gwozdecky was in Columbus on Wednesday...whether as a finalist for the job (some think so, despite published reports to the contrary) or to continue helping them in their search, is anyone's guess.

Of course, I am posting this here as an open question as to whether Appert would be considered or would himself consider the DU post, should an opening arise.

No "paranoia" on my part WS. I enjoy the verbal jousting or should I say verbal spearing. have a good one.
