Folks need to enjoy JDA this season, as it might well be his last in Troy. :D

"...D’Amigo figures if he develops this season the way he did last, he might be ready for the NHL sooner rather than later...."

The following qoute from the Toronto Sun has him w/ us two more seasons -

" Pegged to enter his sophomore NCAA season at RPI in New York state, D’Amigo knows he is probably at least two seasons away from being in the NHL, but his world junior performance was a huge confidence-builder. "

But they could want him to play in the AHL before the NHL.

While the realization is that Jerry could possibly leave after this season, I look at it as a great sign for Seth and the RPI program to have brought a player in who wasnt talked about much before the 2009 draft and has since worked hard in the weight room and on the ice in college to get better. It may be a combination of the coaching around him and his determination to get better each and every day but one would have to think Jerry would help spread the word about RPI once he becomes a pro. Having other top talent recruits see this could help us land a few more recruits in the near future. But until then I am going to continue to enjoy watching Jerry and his path towards what Im sure is a childhood dream of one day playing in the NHL.

That's how I think it may well play out.

Agree WS-I think anything more than this coming year is gravy for us. He has to do what is best for his career. Having kids like this come through the program even for only 2 years is still a big positive for us.:)

For those of you thinking of making the trek to Lake Placid in October. I booked a room for the 30th at the Lake Placid Summit Hotel for $85 using priceline.com a short half mile walk from the hotel to the rink with plenty of watering holes along the way in case you may get tired :D . Hope to see plenty of RPI fans up there that weekend.

For those who hadn't heard, Brad Tapper recently joined the staff of the Toronto Jr. Canadiens as an AC.

Nolan Graham will undoubtedly be buying his former teammate a few cups of coffee...:p BTW, The Habs' new head coach is Jason Nobili, late of the G'town Raiders.

RB: Did we see a kid from the Jr. Habs visit HFH last year? I wanna say we did...dunno

Nice work FC --that's a great rate and a great location...right across from a great watering hole -- the Cottage Bar/Restaurant on the shores of Mirror Lake

Congratulations to GLM on finally fully selling out - he will now be running the show at NBC's Pro Hockey Talk.

And you can all say you knew him back when.

It was great watching GLM in the NCAA ranks for all these years. I knew all along he had the talent to make it to the NHL :D

I never claimed I could never be bought out. I'm a total whore.

I'll also be spending the majority of my live hockey viewing in Troy, so there's always that.

Thanks guys.

Way to go GLM...of course, we fully expect that you'll slip mention of RPI hockey into your conversation whenever possible. NBC's got a good man. I certainly hope this new assignment doesn't sap too much of your attention away from this board....:p

I had posted that on the Alumni thread some time ago. Brad loves the game and would probably still be playing if not for the multitude of concussions he suffered. I am sure he will do a bang up job there-he loves working with kids as anyone who knows how his family operates can tell you. :)
