I suspect that others do remember him.

Mario suffered by being born on my birthday, January 2. Since birthdays have been included in media guides, two players have been born on that date, DiPaolo and Jason Fortino. Clearly the day is jinxed. :D

I remember him, but his first name is Mauro.

Today is 18 June 2010. There are 112 days (16 weeks) until RPI's next game.

This is based upon 8 October for the start of next season.

BTW, the halfway point of the offseason is now at 6/23/10 9:38:00 AM EDT. That is next Wednesday.

RPI is still trying to do an exhibition game. Also the fieldhouse construction looks good so far. Every seat is covered by a huge tarp.

Seth is quoted multiple times............. as well as a picture. He warns the hfh faithful if this rule is in place; to watch pucks at all time. :D

It appears that Sudbury is more interested in Visca than Saginaw is in Pirri.I don't know how these things work but Visca didn't have the best year @ Lowell last year and might have reached out to the OHL...but wanted to go back to Ontario & this facilitates that.I know this is tortured logic but could be a possible explination'

Certainly a possibility T.B.

There is NO truth to the rumor that this year's BRF giveaway will be red mouthpieces for the fans... :D

How about a red victory? :)
I think you have to wait an extra year for that. The three years I've been in school have all been losses. Now, I'm not guaranteeing a win in 11-12, just saying that I wouldn't be shocked by a loss this year.

We had a real problem in big games (Freakout/Tournament championship etc)
last year. I am hoping that it was a lack of experience thing. Many of our best players were freshmen and have never played in that kind of atmosphere.
We are definitely capable of beating any team we play next year and will be ready for the big games.
I will be very disappointed if we don't win the Freakout and the tournament this year.

Maybe not that kind of atmosphere, but D'Amigo certainly has played under a lot of pressure. Pirri and O'Grady perhaps somewhat less, but they also have represented their country.

“Player safety is a concern,” Rensselaer coach and American Hockey Coaches Association president Seth Appert said. “You might get young men stuck out there for two minutes on a penalty-kill situation — especially if it’s a five-on-three — where you’re putting them in real vulnerable situations, where they’re very tired, they’re very physically fatigued, they’re vulnerable from shot blocking or taking hits, because they can’t ice the puck and get off the ice.”

Looks like Seth and I think alike. Hope they scratch this change or at least allow line changes after icing on the pk.

A better breakdown of Dubuque's camp now underway - 84 kids battling for what will ultimately be 23 roster spots. :D Brief mention of both Curadi and Quinn ...along with Doc's behemoth sleeper recruit Dan Kolenda who did indeed earn another look from the coaches at the main camp. Glad I don't have to make the cuts...sounds like they've got a lot of skill to choose from.

Kudos to PuckSwami for his thread after unearthing an excellent article shedding a heap of daylight onto the educational packages offered in the OHL, the rules and intricacies of the system, how many kids actually access the ed. money, etc....great find Swami.

There is no doubt that these players have played under pressure, but they played with a group of like players.
This RPI team is on a loosing streak in those games and just one or two players (especially freshmen) are not going to change things.
This year, however, we should have the experience and confidence we need to put us over the top.
Again, I will be very surprised if we do not win the Freakout and the Tournament.
Lets get this season started.
