RPI 2010-2011 VI- Red Dead Redemption

Re: RPI 2010-2011 VI- Red Dead Redemption

That was sweet seeing Mike and Big Red get punked like they did. Late in the season and in the tourney, speed teams beat trap teams. Mark it down.

I would hope so too, but I ssupect that SA will sit one of the frosh.

Leboeuf works hard and has good potential, but I really was shocked and disappointed that he played over Paddy in the first two games of the Colgate series, and often down the stretch. PK is already a weapon rushing the puck out of our zone, and seems less prone to mistakes. I know Leboeuf can and will play a big role next year and after, but for now I definitely think PK should be the guy.

PK seems to have great instincts to do the right thing.

We all get to watch the games and pick our favorite players, and we may prefer one player over another. (Ido it myself). But when it comes down to who plays, I will trust Seth Appert's judgement over mine.
I particularly liked his comments about North Dakota at the press conference. I had been thinking that he would know them pretty well, but I didn't realize the dislike that Denver had for ND.
That could help us as we get ready for the game.
I just hope we come out and play sixty minutes or more. This is what this team has worked for all year and I would hate to see us come out flat or worse be just overrun by an ND team because we were not ready.
I like our chances. We have wins over Yale and Union and other top ten teams in the country. We should not be intimidated.
LETS GO RED!!!!!!

My girlfriend and I just booked flights, hotel, rental car, and game tickets. Let's go RPI!

Anybody planning on getting together for dinner, etc?

Re: RPI 2010-2011 VI- Red Dead Redemption

Three of the six D3 playup schools made the tourney and another (RIT) almost did. I wonder what a certain former Middlebury president is thinking.

Probably sitting on a pile of money aboard his yacht and not give half a crap about what athletes do. That guy's a putz.

TV schedule showing ESPN syndication which means it will likely be on Time Warner Cable around here. Hopefully we get an official word during the week about this. Oh and before troyboy or aspydad quotes me on saying I am done for the season, I take it back our season isnt over yet :)
Carry On

Lets hope its not Koudys...as AD said he is rock solid....in my estimation he makes the best first pass out of the zone of all our D'men...He is the future of this program and needs the tournament experience...Koudys is I believe our best recruit we brought in this year and incoming next year and here's why....He is not a"but: player by that I mean we have some awesome recruits coming in that have great offensive ability "but" they played in a league below there ability......They have an awesome skill set "but" there undersized...and so on and so on....Koudys is all there Young...Big...skilled...good Hockey IQ...and most of all great pedigree,Dad and Uncle were top of the line players in there own right...He needs to see ice time our future depends on it...We are playing w/house money this not our walk on the moon yet this is our launching pad to the future and the future needs to play !!!

Re: RPI 2010-2011 VI- Red Dead Redemption

Agree with what has been said-I would like to see as much size out there next saturday on defense that we muster. North Dakota not only is big-they play big. I think they must have 13 players over 6' and perhaps nearly as many over 200 pounds. And they looked pretty fast this past weekend on TV. We seem to play well against the speed teams and less so against the bigger teams. ND presents a peculiar set of problems-they are very big and very fast. I am not sure we have seen that combination often. I do think that SA will not leave anything on the drawing board-he will have this team ready and psyched. Obviously we are a pretty big underdog, but i think a large number of people underestimate what we bring to the table when we are healthy and rested. For me we have reached a goal I was hoping for this year-getting into the tournament. Now i am just hoping we can put on a good show worthy of the great group of boys we have on this team. (oh, and score at least one goal for me so I can open that bottle of wine we have been saving):)

Found this interesting as well. Think coach will have a conversation this week with Gwoz about Denver's most hated rival?

Reminder-vote for Chase for Hobey. He is holding at 10% in third position as of now
