Sean Martin was the author? Never heard of him. Maybe he actually knows something about hockey?

Actually, it was Dean Martin, but his finger slipped one key to the left. ;) So what if he is dead.

I know I will probably hate myself in the morning for saying this-but I miss RedCloud on these threads. Some of his sarcastic comments had me rolling on the floor. Add to that the fact that he really does know a lot about hockey and freely contributed to the give and take going on here.

Re: RPI 2010-11: Houston, We've had a Facelift!

Big victory tonight to start the ECAC season. Nice that we kept up the pressure in the third period and put this one away. Something we have had all sorts of trouble doing the past few years. Defense again solid. We are not going to lose that many game sgiving up only 1 goal. I only heard the third period but it sure sounded like we still had fresh legs out there at the end. Now let's finish off Harvard tomorrow and get a 4 point weekend on the road to start the season.
BTW-I know the polls mean nothing this early-but I wonder where Cornell will be placed now after getting whitewashed by SLU?

Dr D: Happy 30,000st post. Worth a second gimlet (the first being for the w on the road)? ;)

If they win tomorrow, Cornell will get a few votes (but certainly be unranked). If they lose, they won't get any votes (unless Schaeffer has a ballot!).

good win Chase must like playing up there five goals in two games
I thought Cornell was overrated in the top twenty and top four in ecac

Good start to the ECAC schedule, nice to see scoring spread around a bit. But the stat that jumps out to me is no penalties.

http://www.ecachockey.com/men/2010-11/boxscores/20101105_zhs1.xml according to the boxscore RPI had 5 penalties for 10 minutes...Dartmouth was 0-4 on the PP....with TH's assist he's now 22 points away from 100 for his career...pretty amazing considering injuries & scratches the last 2 years

Re: RPI 2010-11: Houston, We've had a Facelift!

Glad to start the RS with a win especially on the road. However, I hope the team and coach aren`t overly pleased. From the way it sounded on the radio DC probably had an overall edge in play and if not for York and some flubs on glorious scoring chances it would have been a much different game. Also DC was playing a third string goalie for some reason.Hope we get a better all around game tomorrow.

Schafer will whine and bribe his way to the polls.
