It's not as tough of a call when one player has barely any goals and plays due to effort more than talent(Halpern) and the other player is a total sniper that leads the ECAC in scoring as well as being one of the top in the country(Polacek). Of course its still a tough call but from what I saw that Cornell d played it poorly and went down early which would've made for an easy pass, plus Scrivens was 100% committed to Halpern so Polacek had the entire net to work with if he got his stick on it.
Though i'm a believer in that situation if Halpern does decide to shoot, he needs to put it hard on the ice so that the rebound pops out rather than putting a shot high when there was no opening
Oh well, I have a feeling we'll finish some goals tonight
