The RPITV site now works for me using IE.

Wow, you're better at this RPI TV public relations stuff than I am!

As far as I know, videos are now working properly in IE7, IE8, Firefox, and Chrome. If you're still having trouble, please email me at hamilr2@rpi.edu with a bit of info about your browser, operating system, and flash player version so we can get on top of it!

Someone posted on the RPI-Sports list that he couldn't get it to work. Both GRussinko and I replied not to use IE. Immediately after hitting the send button, I decided to try it again for kicks and it worked. :)

BTW, it is a great show, especially for those of us who followed RPI hockey at the time. In my case it was from afar.

Ralph Fail?

Speaking of Refs of yesteryear how about Pierre Belanger. Famous naturally for the pierre stare. First you got the stare and then you got the box.

That was the Pierre I mentioned in my post about Mike Noeth. Very frustrating to watch any game he was involved in.

Re: RPI 2009-10 Part IV: The Boys are Back in Town

Coach Appert sat down with Brian Sullivan last week to discuss the state of ECAC Hockey, particularly the topics Sullivan brought up in his weekly column: parity, OOC scheduling/results, and general respect for the league. It's a good read.
I wonder which tournament SA was talking about in that interview.
We’re going to a tournament – and I’d rather not speak in specifics – in the future, because we know that in the first round of the tournament we’re going to get to play a top-half Hockey East team, a team that consistently finishes in the top half of that league.
I wanna say it sounds like the Florida College Classic in Estero,FL with the first round opponent being Maine (Although they havent finished in the top half of HE in a few years). Maines first round opponents the last three years of this tournament have been Princeton, Colgate and Clarkson.

Must be something else unless he was talking about 2011 or later. http://www.floridaeverblades.com/fanzone/college/
The 2010 Florida College Classic will see the Cornell Big Red, University of Maine Black Bears, St. Cloud State Huskies and the Miami (OH) University Red Hawks battle it out for the tournament title in December at Germain Arena!

Could be in 2011. I believe RPI is traveling to Alabama around New Years time next season for a pair of games against the Chargers. (Based on what I heard from the Danton Cole interview a few months ago)

Correct about UAH. Upon reading the USCHO interview again, I think that you are also correct that he was talking about Estero in 2011.

Consistently top half? Could he possibly mean Boston College? IIRC, they've been doing pretty well consistently as of late. Either that or the Catamount Cup, though UVM isn't quite up there this year.

Re: RPI 2009-10 Part IV: The Boys are Back in Town

RIT fans have a much different opinion of Feola:

He is one of the best refs I've seen work a RIT game...

I didn't know such blasphemy could be written!

RC and GRuss, thank you for your work on WAP. The season resets are great and I enjoy reading the weekend recaps every Monday.

My feeling is that a sweep will almost be necessary to keep pace in the race for a first-round bye. The worst record used to clinch 4th place since the new playoff format is 2 games above 500. I don't see that changing this season.

Pretty sure Seth meant the first round of the NCAA tournament. Well, maybe. Why don't we start planning now for the 25th anniversary of the 2011 championship in 2036.
