Re: RPI 2009-10 Part IV: The Boys are Back in Town

If nothing else-we always have the most articulate threads on the board. We seem to have it all-information, current events, wit, sarcasm-you name it and you can find it on one of our threads:D
Even scatalogical humor.

Sorry RC I couldn't help it. I'm going to let it go now. Truly... I am.

and the Tourney with Bowling Green, UConn and Ala Huntsville.

I didn't know that BGSU and UConn were the other two teams joining in the Holiday Tourney. Nick Bailen ought to really enjoy a possible matchup with his old team.

They have been working on putting a projector screen on the west end above section 1. As of this past weekend they had built a wooden structure off the bleachers, so it looks like the plan is a big floor-standing screen which they'll project onto. My guess at least. Given the size of the platform I would doubt they're getting an actual monitor that big as it would cost a fortune.

I don't think anyone's mentioned this yet, but Mike Bergin had a lousy game against Yale.

On the other hand, John Kennedy, outside of his penalty, was an outright beast. Jensen and Foss did very well too.

From what I heard on the radio, it sounded like John Kennedy was a beast out there. One of my friends thinks next year he should have a highlight reel of his hardest hits. Granted we don't have a jumbo-tron.

Has Mike been in a slump as of lately, or should these just be attributed to "freshman mistakes"? There's Yale AND Harvard, maybe some other games. Yes I know he's a sophomore, but he was red-shirted last year, so eligibility-wise he's a freshman.

DLP projector? Imax? Imax 3D?

Seems like they need a pretty bright projector to do replays mid game. Or else it'll be like watching a slide presentation in a conf room with all of the lights on. Somehow I think Mr. Hamilton must know about this because he mentioned replays are coming on the RPI webcasts.

I didn't see the game so I can't say. If he did indeed have an off night, at least he picked the right night -- as the rest of his teamsters had it goin' on. :D

Anyone who hasn't looked at MWade's pics from Yale should. I would draw their attention to pics 108-110 (JFK pancaking a Y kid:) )

The last time they mentioned using a "big screen", it was for D'Amigopalooza, and it ended up being a big screen....TV. :D

I think they hoped to have a true big screen in place for that game, but couldn't get all the necessary pieces in place in time.

I believe he was only referring to the RPI webcasts for replays. It was trialed during the Union game, and although a bit gritty, was decent. If they cared about replay for the fans at the Field House, they might as well put in a jumbo-tron.

Kennedy's hit brought me to my feet! It was classic Scott Stevens...even Kennedy was surprised by it...
