Re: RPI 2009-10 Part IV: The Boys are Back in Town

RPI women's hockey senior captain Allison Wright has been nominated to participate in the Frozen Four Skills Competition this April. There's an online voting component which can be found here: http://www.ncaa.com/frozenfourskillschallenge/

Also, GLM would want you to vote for Neil Musselwhite from Oswego State, so I'll throw him in here. ;) You can vote for multiple players/goalies, broken down by region (east/west) and gender.

Go and cast your vote!

For extra bonus support of Neil Musselwhite, I'll let it be known he had a shorthanded hat trick this year. Yes, a hat trick game with all three goals coming shorthanded. :D

Re: RPI 2009-10 Part IV: The Boys are Back in Town

I will go further and encourage support not only for Neil Musselwhite, but also Mario Valery-Trabucco and Jason Walters. We all know they're the bomb. Let's give them an opportunity to prove it to the rest of the country.

I'm personally requesting some support for Ryan Lasch, Caitlin Hogan, and Holly Roberts on the western end. :)

Re: RPI 2009-10 Part IV: The Boys are Back in Town

Those of us that have been following RPI hockey for decades would never want a coach that is even part Lou Lamoriello. I still remember him engaged with Mike Addesa in a vehement argument at the end of the handshake line after we beat Providence in the early '80s. Apparently Lou wasn't happy that RPI was starting to pull in some of the studs that ultimately led to an NCAA championship and made a remark that Mike found offensive.

I remember that, and I also remember it came after a bad RPI team upset PC in OT...Give Lou credit, he is a very sore loser... :D

Haha, I didn't even remotely notice. Too busy singing the fight song and alma mater. :)

I have a feeling I've probably seen half the people that post on our thread (or more) and never realized who they were. Probably talked to some without realizing it too. Also with us there were GoDanGo and JCrawford. I'll have to start posting the weekend schedule in advance and start saying hi to people. Maybe stand up in the middle of the room and go "Excuse me! Does anyone here post on USCHO?" :D

I think we could be a bit more clever...if Ralph Baer or Red Cloud could direct their 'minions' in an appropriate manner, we may be able to come up with a method of contact, ala "The Sting" where we all touch our noses, wink or nod...make Reg Dunlap (or should I say Henry Gonddorff?) proud! ;)

Why would you think that anyone on this board would want social interaction most of us are RPI grads.
We sword fight with a slide rule.
Skip the Super Bowl for comicon.
We pray that the Star Wars Covention is gonna be at Atlantic City next year same weekend as ECAC final 4
If so I'll be dressed as Princess Leia

RC wil be bummed cause that his everyday.

Yup. If memory serves me correctly it was during my senior year. It was pretty funny because Mike towered over Lamoriello but Lou didn't back down. I was told the argument was about recruiting. Even thought that 81-82 team was one of the worst in RPI history, things were already starting to look up. Hammond, Friday, Langevin and Sadeghpour were freshman and one of the greatest recruiting classes of all time for any college (Oates, Servinis, Carter, Nienhuis, Dark, Jooris, et al) was falling into place. Lou must have seen what was coming..................

This sentence seems to be missing an infinitive, a copula and a finishing noun. Congratulations.

There are days when I wonder if you really attended a tech school. :) I suspect that very few RPI students know what a copula is. I had to look it up since I thought that it was part of a caboose. :D (Engineers know about cabooses. ;) )

Interestingly, it is a word that I can make use of every once in a while since people at work sometimes ask me questions about Hebrew, and Hebrew omits copulas.

Hey, maybe that could be RPI's new thing: the tidal wave crashing into the other teams! :D Hey, if we can have the swarm.....

But I think the swim would only be really understood if we keep recruiting from Penticton.

Babo: You fit in here superbly! The next several years are going to be a lot of fun on these threads.:D

Ralph you're ahead of me-I thought a copula was Francis Ford's last name:confused:

Doc...it will be a fun challenge to keep up (I just got through looking up 'copulae'...)...thought I was on the cutting edge, get back and RB has already made the best comment on the subject!

Especially if Luke ever makes a mistake that costs us. I can't wait to see the discussion on that one. If RC pulls out the cat food I think Babo will track him down and make him eat it. :p
