Good Luck Tigers .... remember your athletic roots ... upstate New York, D-III Liberty League, just like us (UNION, RPI, CLARKSON and ST. LAWRENCE). Didn't you take Minnesota to overtime this year?

I don't understand the "2010 frozen four run" came to soon.

Winning the first two NCAA games we ever played set a very high bar for subsequent teams, perhaps an unreasonably high one.

Sure did, in the Mariucci Classic on January 3rd.

Great season. Thank you seniors. My biggest frustration is that the final score line isn't going to reflect how close this game was.

Almost had it. Massa was a beast.

I'll settle for the historic upset and another tournament appearance. That's good news for RIT.

Thanks for an exciting season Tigers, really enjoyed it!

Thanks also to WITR for bringing the games out my way, you guys put us at games we can't make it to.

What a great season! Thank you boys for a great effort and a never say die attitude. Can't say enough about this team.

Fantastic season, and I think the future looks bright for next season. Yeah, there are questions about where the scoring will come from, but they're really strong at the back end.

And Garbowsky couldn't have hurt his case for a pro contract. They played extremely well both nights. Just ran into the hot goalie and couldn't get it past him.

Anyone else nervous? I feel like this game could go either way. A lot depends on how the goalies play.

As I feared, Massa was going to be tough to beat. Once we fell behind, we started taking too many chances. Though I think Norrish was out of position on the clearing attempt by Kuqali that led to the second goal.

Yes, no shame in that loss. Great season, great final showing for the seniors. Ruby went out like a champion. An unfortunate mistake leading to that second goal late in the third and we had to press. Score does not reflect the effort, the tigers played their hearts out, but Massa is definitely the best goalie RIT faced all season I believe. We've got a great young defensive core, hopefully someone will step up to try and fill Garbowsky and McGowan's skates. Going to miss those two next year!

I'm just gonna copy what I put on twitter....

Hell of a season for both @RITWHKY and @RITMHKY. Neither should be ashamed - left it all out on the ice. So proud. #BleedOrange #RIThockey

Nice effort this weekend RIT! Sorry to have to see you lose! Good luck next year (except against us of course)! ;):)

Re: >>>>> RIT TIGERS - Roaring into the postseason <<<<<

Pretty amazing second half of the season. We played extremely well in the NCAA tourney. After the 2nd goal, I was able to see just how effective we were being on defense earlier in the game. We stuck to our defensive plan and really limited SOG Saturday and Sunday night. After the 2nd UNO goal last night, we started to press and we were scored on IMMEDIATELY. Just goes to show that our defensive strategy was effective in limiting chances earlier in the game and kept us in it. Also, Ruby played great. Glad to see him get to play his last games as a senior for the Tigers.

I ran into Scott Knowles after yesterday's game. He said that "we shouldn't feel bad about that one. Just ran into a hot goalie." I agreed but also mentioned that the referees didn't do us any favors either. I counted two potential boarding calls and a hold that went un-penalized. The refs aren't why we lost though. We had scoring chances, we just couldn't solve Massa.

Very excited for next season. Our defense should help us win closer games next year, especially if it takes awhile to find our offense.

Lastly, I'm very proud of the Corner Crew. The CC traveled very well and brought the college hockey atmosphere to an otherwise quiet venue (especially on Saturday). I was also impressed by UNO's student section. Very loud and boisterous. Had some good cheers and a lot of passion.

For the last time of the 2014-15 season: GO TIGERS!

Thanks for representing well the AHA (or AHC, or whatever we are) in the NCAAs this year, Tigers. Picking your team also allowed me to win the AHA postseason Pick 'Em contest this year for a second year in a row. :-)

Sorry to see you guys get beat last night. It was a close game, and had you been able to get that first one in, well, I think you could have won. Alas, the effort it took just to get the equalizer, well.

I really wanted to see you and your fans in Boston- it was so cool to have you come to the Detroit FF, as well as so many of you for the Poster's Game at Yost, too.

Re: >>>>> RIT TIGERS - Roaring into the postseason <<<<<

That was an amazing game last night and RIT has nothing to hang their heads about. They went toe to toe with 2 of the best teams in College Hockey and were standing right there for 115 minutes of it. Congratulations on a great season.

Re: >>>>> RIT TIGERS - Roaring into the postseason <<<<<

Massa was incredible. I saw at least 3 replays after he covered shots with Garbowsky and McGowan with looks of pure disbelief. Put any other goalie in, RIT would've had at least 3 goals go in. They had some perfect chances.
