>>>RIT Tigers 2022-2023 Season<<<

But man, with both RIT and Sacred Heart (and even AIC to an extent) struggling a bit down the stretch it seems like the playoffs are wide open. Feels like Holy Cross, Canisius, and Army are all playing better hockey in February than the top seeds. Hopefully they can find their game again.

A huge congratulations to RIT for winning the league for the first time in 12 years! That being said, we have underperformed in the league since then. RIT is a big fish in small pond, and I have always felt this should be more often than not.

As for how RIT and Sacred Heart have been performing... I think they were so hot in the beginning no teams could catch them and they both became complacent. Since early January it seems all teams were playing playoff hockey and RIT and Sacred Heart weren't which is a shame because RIT really could have made huge strides in the polls. We'll see what happens in the competition.

Question: Could RIT ever reserve the BCA for the final if they were to make it kind of like the old days?

What seemed like a clear separation between the top 2-3 teams and the rest of the league in early January sure is kind of fuzzy now personally I'm rooting for Niagara over Mercyhurst this weekend because I think the Tigers match up better against the Lakers. But if they don't play a full 60 minutes every night in the playoffs the great regular season won't matter .

Does anyone on here have any information on if and when any of the game-used jerseys will be put up for sale at the end of the year, and how the sale is conducted? I have a friend who might be interested in purchasing one, and wanted to know when this might be announced. I know it's a little bit early to be asking about this, with at least a few more weekends of hockey to be played, but I didn't want to miss out on the opportunity.

I have no idea what the logistical requirements would be for such an event at the last minute, but I suppose it's possible, although certainly no guarantee on short notice. Coincidentally, this season there are no events there on the 18th (Knighthawks are home on Sunday). But going into the season, the BCA certainly won't hold that weekend open unless RIT reserves (and I assume pays for) it ahead of the building's main tenants season schedules being determined. Otherwise, the Amerks, Knighthawks, or a touring event could easily be scheduled that day many months beforehand.

I don't think it's a good idea anyway. It will be a better atmosphere with a sold-out (or nearly so) Polisseni Center than at a 1/3-full (at best) War Memorial.

So the loser of tomorrow night's Niagara-Mercyhurst game comes to the Polliseni for round 1.

Niagara has the 2nd best RPI (and pairwise) in the conference right now. Nuts that they could be the 8th seed.

Great weekend for the Tigers but I am now scared because Niagara is coming to town. For the life of me I cannot understand why RIT never pairs well with them. Mercyhurst, its like we've had their number since 2006...

Niagara beat Mercyhurst tonight 5-3. We're playing Mercyhurst. Only way Niagara visits now is if they upset AIC in the 1st round.

EDIT: Actually Niagara ends up the 6th seed, so assuming the AHA still reseeds we'll play Holy Cross if they upset AIC, if not we'll play Niagara if they upset Sacred Heart, and if not we'll play the winner of Army-Canisius.

I stand corrected! I was counting chickens before they hatched! Great win for Niagara! Bring on Mercyhurst!

The are reseeding:
"The quarterfinal winners will advance to the best-of-three Atlantic Hockey Semifinals, March 10-12. The top advancing seed will host the lowest remaining seed with the No. 2 advancing seed hosting the No. 3 advancing seed. "

Great game by the boys!! Not so great attendance... A good comeback win. The boys need to keep their foot on the gas. Mercyhurst showed that they will come back if you don't put them away.

Question, I moved away from Rochester to Seattle and I was wondering what was the best way to stream the games?

Flo Hockey is your only choice for video. There is always WITR audo. Heck I mute the Flo hockey audio and listen to Ed and the guys even for the Tigers home games.

Regarding attendance, the game was starting amidst the beginning of what was supposed to be a significant snow event. That's going to discourage off-campus folk from coming in. It sounded like the student attendence was healthy last night (think Ed said GA was sold out?). They should start selling the reserved seats at GA prices once GA is sold out (starting from the edges in 109 and 105). It'd be a shame if they turned people away last night that wanted GA given the overall attendence. Anyway I expect more people coming in from off-campus tonight - hopefully the student section is just as strong.

Is there a lag between the video and radio audio feed? That was the issue I was running into many years ago when I tried to do it. I found the mismatch too distracting, even though I prefer to listen to the radio guys over the TV broadcasters. With that said, John and Gene are actually pretty good and have been around for... what... over a decade now? But the deep knowledge and context that Ed and Scott bring is unmatched.

WITR is typically 20 seconds or so ahead of Flo. I pause the radio stream until they sync up. Works most of the time. John and Gene are OK, but I get a frustrated when the game is going on and they start talking about last week's Bills game.
