Is it just me? Or does it feel like the air went out of the balloon with the Tigers getting swept by Mercyhurst. It will be interesting to see how they respond...

No, your right but going from ending up 3rd or 2nd to 5th is, well depressing. With the week off, I think things will pickup after this weekends games.

Tale of the tape has RIT favored with 6 seniors and 5 freshmen to Hurst's 3 seniors and 12 freshmen. Believe RIT graduated 5 players last season to the Hurst's graduation of 10 players. Home ice crowd has been neutralized for RIT being the visiting team, RIT has one of the best rinks in the conference and the fans are super enthused with energy. Looking forward to seeing plenty of matchups, Robert Morris will be tough to beat entering the play-off race with experience (9 seniors), overall skill, depth and playing some awfully good hockey.

For the record, list of officials who made the post season in the AHA. Sure some people will be pleased not to see one name on that list...

Are you missing a few names? There were 3 series last weekend, which means they needing at least 12 officials. And they'll need at least 16 this weekend.

Edit: I looked myself - this is just the Referees, not the linesmen. Also, you likely have a duplicate - Ken/Kenneth Gates.

Thanks I made the correction. I really wasn't concerned about the linemen, thought who they selected would be more interesting

Goalie Gavin Lewis from the club team is now on the team roster. He is listed as a freshman. "Played for the RIT club team of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and earned First Team All-Star honors in 2015-16"

The other 3 goalies are still listed.

I assume this means they don't expect Rotolo to be back for the playoffs and want to go into it with 3 healthy goalies.

You could also assume that Short may not be 100% and they need a backup for Amato.

In the interview, Coach explained that they were short on goaltenders who could participate in practice for the various drills and he fills that spot. He also noted that Rotolo has been practicing as of Monday.

There's no way Short is 100%. But there's also no way Amato is starting if Short is good enough to go, which he clearly is based on the last time we had games.

I trust that is the NCAA eligibility rules. Seems odd to have a player on club then NCAA. I could see some higher prestige teams using that as a tactic to stash potential prospects.

I believe they lose eligibility when playing club. That is why Amato is listed as a Sophomore...

I understand that - just playing club AND NCAA seems weird to me.
