Pretty interesting list. Although one wonders about the inclusion of Starr.....

Well, there is that sort of rustic feel to it. :)

Re: >>>>> RIT TIGERS 2012-13: Clawing our way up the standings in the 2nd half

I just looked through DI stats, and it's kind of interesting even with the way this season has gone, we're 13th in team offense (out of all 59 teams). And that's without any RIT player on the individual scoring list. We're also 3rd on the powerplay. Now defense is another story - we're 55th.

With those stats, the way Watson has come out as our clear #1, and just the general spark in play we've seen since break, the rest of this season doesn't look all that bad. It really all depends if our defense keeps clicking.

And I know that they filmed some of slap shots at the Utica Aud, but how do you include any D-III rink without including the Campus Center at Oswego. Other than having a bad name its better than most of the rinks on the list...

The Tigers are also ranked 14th on the PK. Only Minnesota and Union have better combined special teams rankings.

But the stats from the last 10 games are even better:

GF/G - 3.5 [on par with fifth place ranking]
GA/G - 2.7
PP - 10/35 (28.6%) [Union iscurrently ranked #1 with 26.36%]
PK - 39/43 (90.7%) [only three teams have a higher season avg]

We're also 3rd on the powerplay.

Obviously SHG don't figure into this ranking. =)

There are only about 25 tickets left for the game in Niagara on Saturday - so if you don't have tickets yet you better hurry

Just saw (on the Niagara web site) that Saturday's game will be on LCTV.

Sorry - but can anyone point me to the Justin.TV stream...I've never been able to find it. Is he still doing it?

According to Radio guys, entrance to seating in the new arena will be at ice level. We're not talking about a walkway between the first row of seats and the boards (like HFH at RPI) are we?

That was just a fantastic game of hockey.

Another good effort from the guys tonight, mostly in the first and third. And good to see Colavecchia bounce back from that slash to the neck...looked brutal.

That couldn't have been a slash. If it had been a slash to the neck, a referee would have called a 5 minute major and game misconduct. Therefore, his neck must have spontaneously started hurting for no reason.

That... makes no sense. And doesn't match the latest rendering of the interior. Or any rendering we've seen, for that matter. Why the heck would you enter the bowl at ice level??

You are assuming the AHA has competent referees. :)

I agree on the effort for RIT - Niagara seems to bring out the best in our effort this season and it shows in that we have 2 ties against the team that is running away with the regular season title.

They are going to have a walkway around the top with walls behind as in Ritter. You'll come in at ice level and go up to the seats. This is how it was explained to us last weekend.

Plans are changing fairly quickly as things move along and specifics get decided.

Re: >>>>> RIT TIGERS 2012-13: Clawing our way up the standings in the 2nd half

I've go to say, RIT played excellent hockey tonight and it seemed like (for the most part) we were making excellent on-target passes. I think that we could have won this game if the referees made a few more calls that should have been obvious. The officiating tonight was particularly bad and all of the non-calls could have led to an all out brawl. I also think that a case could have been made for a penalty shot when the RIT player (I don't remember who) got hauled down on a breakaway in OT.
