"We're gonna need a bigger boat".
Yup... and the sooner we can launch the bigger boat, the better. As far as who gets first choice for seats... I think that the alumni from oldest graduating classes should get preference. ;)

Re: >>>>> RIT Tigers 2011-2012 <<<<< Dreaming is Done, Time to ROAR

If the seating goes reserved for most of the rink, it will be interesting to see what the process will be for getting season tickets for the seats you prefer. First come first served, no opportunity for preference, random, "best" seats first, or .... ? Any ideas?

The Smart thing would to have an open house per say where people could come in and walk around and sit in different seats then order their tickets. It would be nice to see RIT reward season ticket holders, if a ranking system is needed than I think rank bases on number of years as a season ticket holder would be ideal...

Re: >>>>> RIT Tigers 2011-2012 <<<<< Dreaming is Done, Time to ROAR

Those are all good ones. I think people are also tired of not being able to sit for a game (whether real or perceived). I've heard a lot of grumbles this year from people with GA tickets who are unable to find a seat when seemingly half the seats in the arena are empty. I wonder if the new expanded reserved seating sections are considered a "success"?

Don't forget the TV factor either. I think they should have just gone a reserved the entire East side of the arena. I would have been tempted to get a reserved seat since I arrive late to game sometimes...

Whenever we were shooting the puck, we seemed to be shooting from the right-side of the goal. We wouldn't pass over to the left and take shots from there for whatever reason...

RIT tends to run an overload. Other thing is RIT has not been getting to a lot of rebounds in tight, they start doing that then team will stop packing it in and the flood gates will open...

Good point. I'll admit there has been more than one evening when skipping a cold drive up to campus for a cozy couch, a warm fire, a nice glass of scotch/wine/beer, and the Tigers in HD seemed like the more attractive choice.

But, in my case the ticket is already sold, so my laziness doesn't contribute to a lack of sellout.

Doesn't the song go, One Bourbon, One Scotch and One beer?

Will the Tigers ever travel south to help UAH fill out their home schedule next season.

Talk in this article has them (UAH) maybe joining Atlantic Hockey too.

I think UAH would only be able to join the AHA if one of the current AHA teams goes to the ECAC or HEA, assuming the AHA does the right thing and gives UAH the help it deserves. It would be easier for UAH being the AHA since there are less scholarships than the other conferences. I don't think the AHA will take them for 13 teams. That would be a tough thing to manage for scheduling. Basically, it seems that UAH needs to hold on until HEA picks its 12 team, which hopefully be RPI so RIT could get into the ECAC.

I always thought that our broadcasts drove people to the games so they didn't have to listen.

I'd love to see that happen. It's been a few years since RIT visited UAH. Talking to John Turner of the Huntsville Times on USCHO Live! this week, he pointed out that they've renovated the inside of the already pretty nice Von Braun Center. I'm excited to hear that College Hockey Inc. is going to bat for UAH on a travel exemption with the NCAA. I don't know if they'll get it -- it may be a long shot -- but it seems like a win-win situation.

Or (a long shot) Air Force to the new WCHA?

There was at one time the WITR drinking game. If me complaining about officials is one of the reasons to take a drink, those playing will be passed out before the first intermission.

We would drink when Randy said 'shot and a goal'. It was fun until Neumann joined the conference.

I never make it past the pre-game!

IMO, RIT should give them a couple games. After all, they gave RIT 4 games in their first DI season when the Tigers were an independant.

Totally agree. I wouldn't even mind seeing the games be at UAH either. They deserve some help from RIT.

From the article and what I"ve heard, they are hoping for that exact scenario as they've been basically a road team this year.

33 total games, 21 of them scheduled away from their barn.

Based upon last years transportation that I saw, they do not exactly travel in style. When they came to Cornell last year they were in what I would call a "mini-bus" with a trailer being towed behind. Sad that a college let that happen. But good of the players for to enduring it. They were real troopers. I wouldn't have wanted to ride 3 hours in that thing let alone from AL to NY.
