and a lot of developing offensive talent.
Well, it had better develop quickly seeing as how they haven't scored a goal yet this season.:p

Given RIT's typically high shot and goal count...
Typical in what sense? This is college sports, each season can differ greatly. THIS particular Tiger team has only played one game. If one were to define typical by one game (I wouldn't btw), RIT would have a typical goal count of zero.

Saw something on RIT message center today about an RIT Hockey Kick Off event, 10/19 from 5p-8p in the Fireside Lounge.
The event's program will consist of:

-Dr. Mary Beth Cooper (Vice President of Student Affairs) Speech
-New Hockey Arena Presentation and Announcement
-RIT Hockey Slideshow
-Free Sticky Lips BBQ, raffle of autographed hockey stick, freebies, and more!!!
-Donations (toward Tiger Powerplay, the new arena designation) will be accepted via "text to donate" and in person.

I an intrigued by "New Hockey Arena Presentation and Announcement"

I think its obvious he was talking about traditional stats. Yes this is a new year but RIT is still playing the same style of hockey that Wanye has been coaching for little more than a decade now. Furthermore I think last year was the exception when it comes knowing who is going to be the top goal scorer. After Jeff Smith and Simon Lambert left I remember speaking with Randy Bloechl about who was going to put the puck in the net. Brendan Sarazin came out on no where to do that. Following year Randy and I was looking at the roster have the same conversation.

So RIT has been there before and give SLU defensive struggles we may get an idea this weekend. So his point is valid.

There are two problems you face.

1. I believe it's all general admission for this game.

2. It's sold out.

If you ever come out when the campus isn't on holiday just go to the registrar and get one. On the topic of the game depends on where you want to sit. but i think reserved are the corners nearest to the entrance.

Well, just a few miles down Jefferson Road to the East of Campus they just opened a new Sticky Lips BBQ location, haven't tried the new place yet, but the one in the city is top notch http://stickylipsbbq.com/stickylips/main.html.

Hopefully we get a good crowd on campus for the game, the "day after holiday" games are always tough since our students are obviously off campus. We start class up again the following Monday, and the week leading up to the game is our break week from the fall quarter, so I am hoping more students will come back early to get a jump on preparing for class on Monday. It seems like every year some of our best OOC games are right after Thanksgiving and New Years.

Had dinner at Sticky Lips on Jefferson last night, it was pretty good but expect a line to get a seat this weekend or any weekend. Finger Lakes was good to me today to the tune of 136.00 walking out the door.

Just need the Tigers to win tomorrow night and my heart not to attack me on the 5K Sunday and it will be a perfect weekend!

Let's hope for an early goal from RIT to get everyone into it. And no last second goals this year.

Sticky Lips is awesome - but yes there will likely be a wait.

Re: >>>>> RIT Tigers 2011-2012 <<<<< Dreaming is Done, Time to ROAR

So I'm watching the Niagara vs AFA game right now and two thoughts popped in my head.

1. Who would I want doing better this season? Our AHA rivals Air Force, or the team we have still yet to beat Niagara.

2. The Air Force hockey coverage is amazing and makes the rest of Atlantic Hockey broadcasting look like a joke. They even have goal cameras! ***.

Re: >>>>> RIT Tigers 2011-2012 <<<<< Dreaming is Done, Time to ROAR

It's even better in person!
AF recovered from some shaky goaltending early to pull out the come-from-behind OT win. Colorado Springs native Cody Campbell has several highlight-reel saves for Niagara, which looked to tire towards the end (outshot in the 3rd and 4-0 in OT, despite two PP in the last five minutes of regulation).
Looking forward to AF-RIT. Always great games.
