I love how the radio broadcast cuts out as soon as they score the winning goal.

No more '5 hour Energy' for those guys, they got so excited, they knocked themselves off the air!

Back on now

At least everyone but Niagara is also going to game 3 tomorrow. I'd love to see an AFA upset by UCONN.

I think we played a lot better tonight, minus the third period. Burt really put the team on his back. If you think our offense is bad this year, it's scary to imagine it without Burt.

Looking forward to a hard fought win tomorrow.

As much as I like Burt, I don't think his absense makes RIT's offense that much worse. Burt is not a profilic goal scorer. He does hand out a bunch of assists.

And as for not being able to wait until the seniors are gone - I hope you have a LONG wait. :)

I agree. He honestly hasn't added all that much this year. Since the Frozen Four, he's declined, as much as I hate to say it. (Bring on the criticism.)

Apparently Hartley follows this board: His twitter: "Apparently I should work out" (sarcastically of course.) hahaha

I can't wait to get rid of this senior class!!! I will be ecstatic when they are gone! The lack of leadership out of that class sickening.

Ok trust me I have learn, remember how mad you felt last night, and don't post next time your that mad. Cause yeah this year senior class has had their ups and down. But in it is the heart and soul that helped this team to the Frozen Four two years ago.

Burt is a play maker, he creates a heck of a lot. He gets too cute at times, and those times have grown over the year. His first two seasons he just shot the puck and found the back of the net more. Without him this Tigers team would be in trouble. And he just scored one of the biggest goals in RIT history...

Odd game, I really felt Bentley had no business being in OT with the Tigers tonight. And the bad give aways and puck mishaps in OT made me feel like RIT deserverd to lose. If RIT plays 60 minutes like the did the first three periods tonight I like their chances...

Please god no Ernst "brothers" for game 3. Is Feola busy???

Yes, sorry that post was out of anger. Definitely angry how the game went in the third. At least we get another chance to prove we deserve to be at the bca.

Except Madolora.

No, especially Madolora!!!

Refs - Do you think we(especially AHA fans) are simply more critical of the refs because we are fans, or are the refs simply inferior in the AHA? I try to be objective and realize the refs can't catch everything, but some days....

Last night's game did such a number on me from a Bentley standpoint that this morning feels like I got hit by a bus. And we still have one more to go.

I really and truly feel that when this Bentley team plays a full 60 minutes of hockey, they are unbeatable. They proved that during the season, and they proved that in rallying against certain teams at certain points. RIT is a doppelganger of us, with a good goalie, decent defense, and an offense that can score on turnovers. Tonight could boil down to just plain wanting it more.

This series has been great, and this is why - these teams are both showing pure emotion on the ice. Bentley is a team that flies on emotion, plays with raw energy, and goes 100 mph when they get momentum. They know how to keep the adrenaline going when they're losing, and that third period was as much about that and taking advantage as it was about anything else. When Grieve was tossed, I guarantee the Bentley bench felt antagonized and started playing with a massive chip on their shoulder (didn't see the video but listened to some of the audio).

I think this game is going to come down to how much the referees will let go. If it boils down to a street-fight style game, that's what Bentley plays well in, with guys like Nudy and Kayfes antagonizing and instigating. It's just how it's gone all year, and last week against SHU (granted RIT is clearly a better team than SHU), they got the Pioneers way out of the gae by the 2nd period. It was a 5-0 game, but it might've been 72-0, and the Bentley players ended up in fights in the third period because the Pioneers decided "Screw it, game's over."

I'm genuinely looking forward to a helluva game tonight. I think RIT will bring 60 minutes, and I think Bentley will bring 60 minutes. It's goiong to boil down to who simply wants it more.

Or who is able to bring 70 minutes ...

I don't know that my stomach can take much more of that.

Branden Komm's 58 saves last night were a D1 record for Bentley. I really hope he doesn't face that many, but I venture he will face 40 or so on the stat sheet. Not to nitpick, but I think it was very liberal with stats for RIT's shot totals last night. That was really my only complaint about anything in-game though related to hockey.

Burt is a good player. I just think he is very streaky and he likes to take too many shifts off and just go through the motions. But yeah, when he is on, he the best RIT player out there (with all due respect to Madolora).

He doesn't have to score goals to be a key to the offense. He was still one of our top 2 points getters all year long and has a knack for scoring when we really need it. He is the kind of guy that allows anyone else to be able to score cause of his passing...with him gone we will lack not only a big goal scorer like we had in Brenner but also a go to playmaker.

Thank freakin' god we pulled out the win last night. Imagine how bad we all would have felt if Bentley had pulled off the come from behind win and ended our season. They were within a hair of doing it too. Obviously Bentley is a good team, but should we be that close to being swept at home in the first round (for us) by a sixth seed team that isn't one of our true nemesis's like AF and NU are? That would have been really tough to swallow. The good news is we are still in it, the bad news is we have to beat Bentley again tonight to stay in it.

Great to see the seniors come through to get the win last night(Haltigin goal, huge saves by Madalora in OT, and Burt's game winner). Also nice to see a much better effort from everyone compared to Friday. We need at least least as much, if not more tonight. Go Tigers!

I thought Mads just played well enough for the win last night, that second Bentley goal came off a very week rebound and could have saved us all OT yesterday. I am looking for something big out of him tonight.

I don't think Burt takes many shifts off as much as when he makes a bad play he kinds of gives up on the play. On the PP a few times this year, he given the puck away and just stood there shaking his head instead of skating hard back on the chance at the other end of the ice. He has great intensity, but sometimes to works against him...

I just don't understand how things have not gotten better. Even the linesmen, Wallace blow two icing calls big time last night one for each team. What really bothers me was the one Ernst "brother" who wears the visor was chirping at Cole after Mitchell was called for tripping. I am sure Cole thought he took a dive, it looked borderline, but as Ernst was skating toward the box he was really chirping at Colavecchia. Now I am not saying Mike is a saint, but that just bad offciating, your baiting a player into a 10 min at that point. If what he said is that bad you make the call or you go to the Captain and tell him to cool it or he will sit for ten, you don't yack at him. I yelled at Ernst to get off him and shut his trap, and he was still chirping and looked right at me for about 2 seconds. You know I Umpired for over ten years and have done some college level touraments. I appercaite the junk these guys have to deal with, but trust me if you do not have thick skin and looking for a pat on the back and be told you did a good job, your in the wrong job...
