Komey said it pretty well here. Let me take a step further, looking at the schedule when it first came out, I had the thought that RIT could start 0-5. Now to be honest they played better in about all the games I've seen them play in this year than I thought they would. Given the fact no wins came from that was dissapointing. Coach Wilson has been a broken record, but is very right when he has said "Happy with the effort, not happy with the result."
Saying that let me say this, I never normally say a weekend is a must sweep. But I think this one is, this team needs all four points. I think this team could have a run mid season like last years team does. Just looking for some scoring to click, when it does look for this team to make some big noise. DeMike I think will be alright, he didn't play well against Clarkson, can't offer a valid opinion on the Air Force weekend. Wilson has kind of made it clear by the moves so far, DeMike is the guy, and not sure about the #2 guy, all though I was close enough to the bench at Saint Lawerence to see that Wilson had 40 below 33 for that game.
Give this team a chance, they will be right there, really tough playing your first 5 games against the best teams you will see all year. I see them right there in the top 3 still, Air Force, RIT, and Mercyhurst will be fighting all year neck and neck. Look for Holy Cross to make things interesting too.
Can't wait for the weekend, hey anyone going to be there early? I have the Komey platform all fixed up and improve with wood legs and higher than he was. more heavy though, if anyone can help carry from my car shot me an e-mail wnymule@roadrunner.com

First off, I think you have too high of expectations. RIT was #3 in the AHA Coach's poll. I think that's about right with the losses on offense from last year. I'm not saying we shouldn't be able to compete for NCAA tournament berth's, but expecting to beat middle of the road ECAC teams on a consistant basis is a bit much for this team right now. The ECAC does not have a lot of differance between the 7-10 spots.
That said, you are correct that 0-5 is not a good start. But for the way they have played, you would have expected that they would have won a couple, except for probably the Clarkson game (don't know - couldn't listen to that game due to a wedding I attended). But the team has made a couple mistakes that have cost them games. As has been said many times - make a mistake and it will cost you. There has been a few mistakes that have cost them games.
I will say this, this is not like 4 years ago. That team was severely undermatched in every game and were lucky to win games that they won. This year, they have shown that they a lot closer to the level of ECAC teams. RIT will win it's share of games and will be in the hunt for that elusive berth.
And for the guy who said RIT can't beat the best AHA teams:
Last year - RIT 6-2 against teams that went to Blue Cross in the regular season.
The year before that: 4-3-3 against teams that went to Blue Cross.
They can beat them and they can beat RIT - that's why they are one of the best teams in the conference as well.
