I believe last season's home opener was an advanced sale sellout. Will we repeat? Is there a buzz on campus about the games this weekend?

Last season was an advance sell out...and I doubt it will happen this weekend...I haven't seen anything on campus promoting it...

I am going to guess advanced sellout. I think the 7400+ that were at the BCA is an indication that they tapped into some new fans. They certainly weren't from Colgate that night. I realize it was 'homecoming', but I bet it left an impression on some.

I am guessing sellout - but it won't be advance.

What are the chances of picking up same day tix for a Friday game? Or is there a way to get them ahead? My kid is coming up to visit the CQAS program in the next few weeks.

I wouldn't always count on it. You can get tix through ticketmaster if you're not in town.

If you get them at the box office a few hours before the game you should have no problem. As far as I know you can order them through ticketmaster and pick them up at will call also.

That is, if they have a ticketmaster in that one-cow town you live in.

Sorry, had to be done.

Don't use ticketmaster and pay the service fee. You can call the box office, pay face value with a credit card, and pick up at will call desk before the game.

With everone seeming to be crowed around the panic button, I'll change directions for a minute.

The Tigers may have some help coming for next year. Heisenberg has the first RIT recruit for 2010-2011 listed.

Adam Mitchell - RW - Crofton, MD, 6'2" 210lbs
DOB: 5/9/1990

2009 - 13gm - 12g (5ppg) - 7a - 19pts - 8pim
2008 - 41gm - 20g (6ppg) - 21a - 41pts - 34pim

I'll try to dig up some more information on him, but with that size and the numbers he's posted sounds like he might be a keeper. Let's just hope he has some speed and hands to go with that size.

OK, you can all return to our regularly schedule panic session.

Thanks, if you hadn't posted this I might not have notices my RSS fail on the Heisenberg site.

The thing that interests me here is, he's listed as a Right Wing. How many defencemen will we have smaller than him?

Too many?

We need some size up front as well. Maybe he can create some space in front of the net and bang home some rebounds. The only position I have serious concerns about our size is in net...

The Baystate Breakers press release on Adam Mitchell is out.

http://easternjunior.com/news.php?action=fullnews&id=575

Mitchell played last year for Baystate, and in 2007-2008 play in the NAHL with the Texas Tornadoes. Sounds like he might have some promise. In 2007 Central Scouting had him rated as a middle round draft pick.

There is also some recent (10/2009) mention of him on US Hockey Report (ushr.com) but that's a subscription service and I don't have a login.

His teammate on the Breakers, Jesse Petito (LW 5'9" 160lbs) is headed for Bentley. :) :) :) Gee 5'9" 160, I wonder why we weren't all over him.:) :) :)

Well with a name like "Petito", you can't expect a big bruiser. =) Though it must be remembered -- never overlook the little guys.

Madolora's got it covered.

I'd like to see if Madolora, the Freshman goalie from the USHL is all Coach Wilson said he is. DeMike can't play all the games. If you remember, Wilson played Louie early in the year(at Cornell) when we had Guimond to see what Louie had.

We have entered conference play now, and while experimenting with the lineup isn't out of the question it should be done very carefully at this point. DeMike's first collegiate game was the last game of the regular season after RIT locked up the conference title in 06-07. He gave up 7 goals goals that night. Thank goodness he has come a long way - but I think he'd agree he had a lot to learn as a freshman.

Re: >>>>> RIT TIGERS 2009-2010 <<<<< Rockin' The Ritter For Another Year

I don't think messing with the goaltending is something Coach Wilson will be doing at this point. I don't think that DeMike is the biggest problem. The power play still needs to improve - though is showed some signs of life against Air Force. RIT just seems to be making a bad play at the wrong time and it is costing them.
