the band will be there this weekend...and they are trying to be there next week too (no promises though)
Great news for this weekend - lets hope they can pull off next weekend too!
Yes this is impressive, the corner should give them a salute or recognition for sticking around. The atmosphere is much better when the band is there and we need all the motivation we can get for the boys this weekend
RIT is definitely the best team top to bottom. Besides Lamoreaux who is clearly skilled, Air Force didnt really impress me. Volkening is just a big oaf of a goalie with oversized pads, he takes a lot of net up but DeMichel is definitely more talented and can make that flashy big save when needed. Air Force tried to play that trap and was really aggressive in trying to stop RIT's breakout, it worked in the second period but they got tired and RIT showed why they are the best in AH completely dominating the third period. I think Burt, Favot, and Ringwald stepped up and played awesome. Tanev looked a little shaky last night, he's been solid but maybe the nerves got to him a little he made some plays that made me think he was second guessing himself. Overall great game. I think that may have deflated AF a little, I foresee a lackluster effort from them tonight.

If we win tonight, we are guaranteed the AHA conference title as we are 6 points up with 3 games left. Let's get it done!
By the way, several of us standing at the south end of the rink don't think the first goal crossed the line -- Volkening reached back and gloved it just before it trickled over -- but the goal judge was pretty certain that it did. But as noted in the recap, we gave up a 5-on-3 goal just after that so it's a wash, or "even stevens" as Frank Serratore said.

RIT needs to come out tonight and continue
to play "playoff" style hockey. I think Air Force will come out and play just as desperate as they did last night. Therefore, its going to be another hard-fought game.

Though I do want a letter of apology from the Air Force AD. Their coach clearly disrespected the officials several times![]()
Yeah, and I believe RIT has the tiebreaker, which gives them the top seed for playoff purposes. It looks like Wilson is motivated to throw any possibility of "co" in their regular season championship away though based on his quote. I wouldn't be totally shocked if they went with Madolora the next two games and put DeMichiel back in for his last regular season home game, but perhaps trying to keep things going versus Air Force (and clinching the title outright despite having the top seed already based on the tiebreaker) will be enough to put DeMichiel back in net tonight.... or a tie, or a Sacred Heart tie or loss against Holy Cross. =)
But I want a win!
