It's a freaking hockey game, of course there is going to be swearing from players and coaches. If you can't handle swearing in college you need to grow up(I know parents will bring their kids to games, but this is where proper parenting needs to prevail). If you cant handle/disapprove of what you might over hear during a hockey game don't go. I would of expected better from another teams AD, especially since it is a service school.

When I told my girlfriend about letter (who is another big RIT hockey fan) her response was simple: "they can suck it". I thought that was great but then it probably re-enforces what the Army AD said :D

Try to put it in a nut shell. As RIT pulled away, Alexin was run over in the netural zone with no puck near him, that seem to really make the chippness worst. And at the end, Mazur apparantly got someone with an elbow, and then an Army guy jumped Jeff Smith, who did not appear to drop his glove but got a 5 for fighting and a game DQ anyways.

Players then yelled at each other, RIT banged their sticks on the ice to salute to Army player who gooned Smith and then crowd booed RIT off the ice cause, well what is there to do in West Point except wished you lived in NYC...

And then the Army AD started to whine...In defense of Army, Riley was classy and did got to Wilson for a handshake and got his guys undercontrol, really should have been the end of it till a couple of whinning fans most have walked straight to the ADs office and the AD decided to be classless...

40 in semesters, 48 in quarters (total), yes.

The number of three-quarter sequences is program dependent. Quick count in ours is at least 5-6 sequences. Given the LA requirements can be counted in hours, that 8 is made up easily and one could argue there might even be more room for electives.

Any official RIT comment on the bizarre Army apology. From my point of view, it appears the Army AD owes the RIT community an apology and has poorly represented our nation. That's sad. (Of course, I didn't see all the events in person.)

That would be hilarious, or maybe do a letter on a board.. like one of the guys has with the rule book...

I would just as soon forget it. Which we probably will by the time we play them again. They won't beat any of the top 5 to get to BCA.

It would be interesting to see a RIT-Army quarterfinal series, but with Bentley facing Holy Cross the final weekend while Army plays AIC, it looks like one of those two are going to come out as the 8 seed in all likelihood.

I'm hoping for the RIT-Bentley series. I think there is some clear motivation for the Tigers from the "pink" loss. (Not that they wouldn't be motivated for any playoff game.)

How come Jared DeMike has league leading stats all season, but has only been goalie of the week 3 times?

My guess is that he has been consistantly good and some goalies have been great on certain weeks. Also, if an upset occurs, often times that helps the goalie get that honor unless he really has a bad game the other night.

Since RIT has been favored in almost every league game, it's hard to get the underdog votes.

Bentley has 2 games with UConn before playing Holy Cross while Holy Cross will play Sacred Heart before that series. Army is playing a scuffling Mercyhurst team that is 2-4 in their last 6 league games.

Figure Bentley sweeps UConn and Army sweeps AIC to get the 4 points. Mercyhurst needs the points to hold off Canisius for home ice in the quarters so that series with Army will be interested. Since it is in Erie, look for at best a split for Army and possible a 3 or 4 point week for the Lakers. That leaves us with Sacred Heart and Holy Cross in a home and home. Holy Cross will have to split that series to hold off Bentley before that weekend - not an easy task since Sacred Heart could easily slip out of holding a home ice spot if they lose both games. So let's say a split at best for the Crusaders.

Bentley should have 24+Holy Cross
Army should have 26+Mercyhurst

Holy Cross has the toughest task and I think will fall to #8 and RIT will play them in the first round once again. :D

I'm getting more excited for my first trip to RIT tomorrow.

What players on RIT are fun to watch? Anyone in particular I should look for?

Wolverine, did you order tickets yet? I suggest you call the box office if you don't have them yet. That said, I believe tomorrow marks that last day of classes before exams, which typically means a slightly more subdued crowd. A sellout still seems likely considering that RIT could clinch sole possession of first place with 3 points on the weekend. I hope the band is around so you get the full Ritter experience.

I think Favot, Murphy, and Burt, (when he doesn't get too fancy), to name a few, are fun to watch.

Our tickets are ordered and should be waiting at will call. Being a band geek myself, I hope your band is there.

the band will be there this weekend...and they are trying to be there next week too (no promises though)
