Did anyone go to meet the bus as it arrived back on campus early this morning? Ed, Chris, and I stayed overnight in Albany, so I am wondering how it was on campus.

I had a prior engagement and couldn't watch the game live, but unfortunately we screwed up the settings on our VCR and the game didn't get taped. Anyone know where we might find a copy of the broadcast? This is historic!

I can't believe RIT is in the Frozen Four!

Congratulations -- this UNH fan will be rooting for the underdogs against Wisco.

Go Tigers, and enjoy the next 2 weeks.

It was amazing. The people on campus made huge banners. The news crews were there as well as tons of photograpers. Stu drove the zamboni out around the loop in front of the sentinel. A little after 1:45, we say police lights enter the campus. We had 2 public safety SUV's, followed by a State Police cruiser, lead the bus into the sentinel area. The marquee on the bus said "RIT Hockey, Who are these guys?". As soon as the bus parked in the circle, everyone rushed it and surrounded the team and coaches as they came out. A player (not sure who) crowd surfed, everyone was chanting "RIT" and "FROZEN FOUR". It was simply amazing.

As impressive as the RIT team was, I was blown away by the RIT fans who turned out in their orange regalia and cheered long and strong. It was like a breath of fresh air especially when compared to fans of other schools who lack creativity and feel it necessary to throw a gratuitous and brainless "you suck" into the air every 30 seconds...boring. Good luck in Motown. And BTW, its time for an upstate OOC game or two with the Dutchmen. That would be a lot of fun.

Re: >>>>> RIT TIGERS 2009-2010 <<<<< Rockin' Part 2 - The Playoffs

RIT looked cold-blooded against UNH. Led by Dan Ringwald of course. He slows things down when they need to be and controls the play in tight situations without an ounce of panic.
The goal by UNH at the end of the first seemed to cause a bit more "panic" by RIT resulting in icings when there were "better" plays to be made. BUT in playoffs, getting it out is priority #1.
Burt, Brenner, Ringwald, Tanev and Demikes were all the game-breakers that they needed to be for RIT and absolutely everyone contributed including Stevan Matic in his surprise return.
Absolutely ground breaking for RIT, Atlantic Hockey and Rochester. Good luck in Detroit! Wouldn't miss it!

I still can't believe that RIT is going to Detroit.

Does anyone have any pictures of the scoreboard at the end of the games? My laptop needs a new background.

Re: >>>>> RIT TIGERS 2009-2010 <<<<< Rockin' Part 2 - The Playoffs

Even though Notre Dame has been a D1 institution all along, I think Notre Dame fans may know a little bit about how RIT folks are feeling. We wandered around mostly aimlessly as a program for 4 decades, never really mattering much more than as an afterthought. And then in May of 2005, we hired Jeff Jackson. A very short 35 months later I was in Denver at the Frozen Four watching Notre Dame come within 60 minutes of winning it all. With all that has changed in college hockey the last few years and how much closer the programs are, there ain't no reason in hell RIT can't expect the very same thing to happen to them in Detroit.

Congratulations on a great season, a great playoff (so far), and good luck in the Motor City. I'm sure another win or two would be A-OK with any number of us.

Your wish is my command ... kind of a self-portrait as the corner I shot it from is in the video image. Also, that's 0.2 sec. left on the clock.

I saw both Bobby Raymond and Anton Kharin at the Saturday game. Anyone else spot any other former players running around? :)
