Re: RIT 2010-11: What do Tigers dream of?

I am a season ticket holder from Suny Brockport and I don't know if the students are back yet? But yes you're right stupid question.:p

I wasn't being sarcastic. I was just wondering if tonight was some special night. Also I couldn't remember who we are playing.

Re: RIT 2010-11: What do Tigers dream of?

I know a couple alumni groups are holding events, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's an earlier sellout than normal.

Good effort by RIT. I would have liked to have seen them put Bentley away a little more - especially since they didn't score on Calvi (who I expect starts tonight). But all in all, there was very little to complain about last night. Now do the same tonight and make it a 4 point weekend since everyone else in the Western pod won.

There is a lot of talk on here about a western pod. I don't get it. Is that how our new tournament is being situated? West vs. east?

the top couple of finishers in each pod get a first round bye. Its a goofy system

Re: RIT 2010-11: What do Tigers dream of?

It seems like we only play 10 minutes a game. Last night it was the first 10 minutes. Tonight it was the last 10 of the third. Wayne needs to start getting his players to try 100% of the time if he wants to win the AHA.

Re: RIT 2010-11: What do Tigers dream of?

Not the effort they needed tonight as a first place team, but at least they came back and tied it. 3 points is better than only getting 2 on the weekend. and they still have games in hand on RMU and NU.

Re: RIT 2010-11: What do Tigers dream of?

Bently came out fast and angry. They controlled the flow of the game for the first period. Add to the second and third goals were weak goals IMHO. And the tigers find them selfs playing an entirley diffrent game... It looked like they came out expecting to play against the friday night bently team. But they are still controlling the third period only allowing 3 shots.. Its good to see that trend change from the first half sticking around.

I believe NU has 2 games in hand on us last I looked.

Re: RIT 2010-11: What do Tigers dream of?

Friday and Saturday were night and day. Friday everything clicked, especially in the first 25 minutes of the game. I don't think they let up much, but couldn't score on Calvi when he came in for Rank. I think THAT gave Bentley a LOT more confidence on Saturday - and it showed in their play. Combine that with RIT's not as strong of a game and you are lucky to pull off a point out of the game.

Bottom line is that the lead is 5 points - and will have any tiebreaker with Robert Morris, and there are still 2 games with Niagara to play at the end of the year to make up the 1 game they lost to them.

Awesome! He was scratched for tonight's game- I don't even know if he could have made it to where the game is. We may see the NHL debut of a Tiger alum on Tuesday in Colorado. Sweet.

With Alberts going down with an injury today vs. Colorado, it seems very likely Tanev will be in the lineup Tuesday night.

Man, wouldn't that be somethin'. If it looks like he's going to play on Tuesday, I'll have to find someone with NHL Center Ice or something.

Gonna set the DVR for the Nucks game. The injuries to the pretty Deep Nucks Blueline have finally taken it's toll. I think Chris is pretty low on the D prospect list, but he is one of the first to get called up and hopefully play. Surprised Connauton wasnt called up, but they may want a right shot with less d liability.

Good luck Chris, I'll be watching.

A lot of the Nucks fans are saying he has been very steady and solid for Manitoba, even to say he may be the best D man there at the moment, and jumping up the Depth Chart.
