Re: RIT 2010-11: What do Tigers dream of?

If your heading to Pittsburgh for the game at Consol you might want to hit up the O at Pitt, The Original Hot Dog Shop

I would go with Primanti Brothers. My family and I went down for a Pirates game last year, and we went three times in two days. Not hot dogs, but **** good sammiches.

A Primanti's sandwich is the garbage plate of Pittsburgh. =) Which means it's not quite up my alley, but my wife likes 'em. There's also a couple DiBella's franchises down P-burgh way if anyone wants a taste of home. =)

Re: RIT 2010-11: What do Tigers dream of?

Well, I just donated 10 bucks. I think ill be doing that about every month! Anyone else been donating to the cause?

Re: RIT 2010-11: What do Tigers dream of?

I hear they are still under the $2 million mark

It seems there will need to be a few more big donors (as in millions) and maybe one with something like 5-10 million (to name the place?) to get this thing done. I can't see individual donations from "normal" fans and supporters getting there. E.g. if 5000 people each donated $1000, that's only $5M. Are there 5000 people willing (and able) to donate that much? Or the necessary 15,000 people? I'll put in my share, but I sure hope there is more of a plan than what we've heard so far.

'Tis the season for donations, so maybe we'll here some more announcements soon?

I am quite optimistic about this project. Dr. Destler seems to not skimper on projects such these, his past tells me so...

I know it's early, but does anyone know if there are any contingency plans to reschedule Friday's game against Canisius in case this winter weather continues?

Game DVDs from the 2010 NCAA Tournament - Who'd be interested?

Game DVDs from the 2010 NCAA Tournament - Who'd be interested?

I've traded e-mails with the folks at ncaaondemand.com regarding DVDs of the Tigers games in Albany in last years tournament. Their response has been that these games are not currently in the production schedule because of lack of demand. They would gladly do a production run for a bulk order of 25 copies per game at a cost of 24.99 per copy. How many folks out there would be interested? If there is sufficient interest I would be more than happy to coordinate an order.

Post if you're interested....

Is this essentially the ESPN broadcast? I would likely be willing to go in on this. If they can mute the mullet, then I'm definitely in. :D

I believe that it is an uneditted version of the ESPN broadcast. I will pose that question to them though. As far as the mullet is concerned.... In a perfect world, WITR would release those games on podcast and someone would sync that audio to the video.

Oh baby I'm in. Those games were epic.

Why can't we bug RIT to buy copies to sell? I'm sure they'd go like crazy if RIT got them in a larger order and could sell them cheaper.

A very good question. Is Chris from marketing still lurking around the forum?

Last time I talked to Chris he said that he no longer worked for RIT.

P.S. I'm in for a copy.
