justice was served the jury had all the info and didnt indict the system works!

There is a philosophy that states, "If it harms no one, do it." Harm <> offended. I may be offended by gay marriage, but am I harmed by it? Is society as a whole harmed by it? The former is easy, the latter takes a while for the data to accumulate.

The other one is "Protect the weak from the strong." This is complicated as it extends to everyone / thing. Simply, if I see a bully picking on a kid, I should prevent it. If Richard Corey lives in a mansion while his workers live in squalor, do I do something about it? Do I have the power to do something about it?

Nice debate over the merits.

I don't like/agree with (hypocritical) PETA or other "animals > humans" orgs, but they have a right to exist. I don't agree with jimjamesak/Kepler that all guns except bolt-action rifles and small-caliber pistols should be banned, but they have a right to advocate for it, and regurgitate decades-old small pen1s jokes about it. :p

It's not really any different.

You know I lean towards the liberals, but I do agree with you. I just recently lost of friend of my family that was one of the first black cops in my home town.

Taking over places thinking freedom of speech on private property and not obeying the state laws is ridiculous.

Because cop-killing is a systemic problem in our justice system, that goes unpunished by the law...

It's pretty pathetic to see people blaming De Blasio for the deaths of the two officers. Responsibility lies with the perp and any protesters spreading violent rhetoric.
