Re: Rep Retirement Thread 132: Easter Goodies

Speaking of get togethers, what do i owe for the Friday ticket bbdl? I thought i read $45 somewhere, but can't recall if that was right.

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 132: Easter Goodies

Great Waters Brewing is near there, as is the Liffey. Both have good food.

Great Waters Brewing serves excellent food for that sort of place, as does Wild Times. The Liffey has the same menu as the Local - same owner. I'm told their (the Local's) whiskey chicken bites are phenomenal, but they weren't being served during the Sunday brunch menu when I was there, getting some food just before heading into work.

Yeah - the WCHA jerseys is where people have met before - and Great Water Brewing is one of my favorite places near the X

I've had lunch at GWB and breakfast at the Liffey (which was really good). There's enough down there to choose from. If anything, we can ask the hotel's concierge. :D

gmann - re:your rep
I did get out fishing quite a bit this past winter. Caught quite a few nice walleyes (usually too big to keep, which is nice :)) and some perch. I think I have my wheeler house figured out pretty well. In fact I'm taking that down to Whitewater State Park the week of April 18th for some turkey hunting and trout fishing.

Most of the best options in the downtown/lowertown areas are near the Xcel (within five or six blocks), unless that's changed since I worked for US Bank off 4th & Robert from 2000 to 2003. I highly suggest going to Burger Moe's, right next to Tom Reid's. I've only been to the place once because, hey, I live in freaking Farmington, but it was a really good burger and they serve Moose Drool. I like me a dark beer. :)

That might be a good option for lunch one of those days. And yes, Moose Drool is pretty good.

I got 3 of them for $45 and the other 10 for $52, if you average it out, it is right about $50 per ticket. Also, I will rep you with my phone number, so you can call me if for some reason we have trouble meeting up before the game.

Ok, who is 7&7 over on D1? 6 posts and he/she is already making BTHC/Freddy Meyer/Thornton jokes. I smell an alter-ego.

Hell, I'm getting 1,000 back from the Feds, but I've had that check pending on my account all weekend. Does it honestly take em that long to kick the money into my freaking account.

Thats my guess as well. Hell, I wouldn't put it past that Yooperhockey guy as well. Too much trouble making right there.

Going to see the Twinkies tomorrow and wednesday against the Yankees, then going to see Baltimore next Tues and Weds as well. Looking at tickets for next Thurs, Fri and Sun against Baltimore and the Rangers. Yep, it's baseball season!

Multigrain-crust, homemade pizza with mushrooms, zucchini, tomatoes, meatballs and goat milk jack cheese for dinner this evening, topped off with a beaker or three of red wine while watching the dogfight between the Bulldogs and Huskies in the Obamaball finals. Bon appetit and good evening all.;)

Did a Lodge member send me a friend invitation on LinkedIn? The name is not familiar to me, but conceivably he is Lodge member because he is connected to me through one.

That's exactly who I thought since he is a NU grad, and indeed it is through you. I'll wait until I hear if it is he.

Day one of culinary school is in the bag. Found out what my culinary portfolio will look like when I'm done, learned that I'm supposed to be in uniform at all times at the Institute, and I learned that once I get into charcuterie, I'll get to work on butchering an entire pig.

Did you cook anything today?
