Re: Rep Retirement Thread 132: Easter Goodies

You said France and 100, I think they only intersect in Robbinsdale as they are basically parllel. In that case, Sensor's in Bloomington, Bunny's are good choices. Champs in Richfield (66th abd Lyndale) is not far either. Heck, you could go to a TGIFriday's too. There's one off 394 near bb_dl's favorite bar and one off 78th and 100.

There is. Also, there's The Cooper (I think that's the name) next to that hick bar. It's an Irish pub, and I hear it's pretty good.

Right, Lake would of been a clearer choice of streets. But they figured it out.

I figured it out because you mentioned Uptown and Southdale, other than that I would have been, w.t.f. is he talking about!

As Brent said, if you're scared to go to Toby Keith's (which there is no reason to be), Cooper is right next door and would be a good choice. I think Cooper has plenty of TV's but can't say for sure. Also, I'm guessing that there must be somewhere in Uptown to see the game, they can't all be too busy beating off to their pointless art and hippy music.

Found a solution for bbdl:

(571):

we put a pacifier in your mouth because you kept drunkenly singing country music.

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 132: Easter Goodies

Brent, Allow me to clarify my earlier post. Yes, I am looking forward to the Frozen Four games, but I will be in Denver rather than at the Xcel Center. My presence is required at several business meetings later this week and the meetings cannot be rescheduled. I'm disappointed, but I've been to quite a few Frozen Fours and hope to be at others in the future. I hope you and your friends have a good time at the games. I know there are quite a few posters who live in the Twin Cities, so there should be a sizable USCHO contingent in the crowd. As a longtime WCHA fan I'll be rooting for a Duluth-North Dakota final so that the conference claims yet another NCAA title. Have fun and enjoy the games.

I will tip one back for ya. There are a TON of posters in the area, and a ton more coming in (we have at least 20 going to the Twins game on Fri, for example).

The Twins game? Is that the one where a guy has a wooden club in his hands, his teammates run around in circles in the dirt and the manager gets paid two point three million a year to stand in the dugout and scratch his nutz?

Yeah. You might have seen something along those lines in CO. The team lollygags in last place until the last month or so, then makes a mad rush to sneak in the playoffs at the last minute. It doesn't always work, but it's fun to watch.

Yeah, the Colorados went on quite a September run last year. I think the Rockies finished the season by losing something along the lines of 14 of their final 16 games. It set a fashionable trend though as the Broncos emulated that streak right from the outset of their season and the Avalanche absolutely has perfected the artform of losing to any and every team who can lace up a pair of double runners.;)

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 132: Easter Goodies

Kinda wrecked my back yesterday with moving stuff around as part of spring cleaning. Going to the chiropracter in about half an hour. Staying home from work for the morning, at least. Not as bad as it could be, but not great.
Hmmm... an injury... at the start of F4 week. I think I smell a rat.

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 132: Easter Goodies

Hi Lodge
Obviously I haven't spent much time on the board lately, but will be attending the F4. Are there any plans for meet ups or anything? I think we're in section 207. A few of the guys I work with are going as well, all Sioux fans sadly ;)
Any info is appreciated!

Pregame a bunch of us will be in the parking lot behind Dairy Queen. Postgame, probably will be at Tom Reid's, but that could change. During the game, I haven't heard anything.

We could do the usual gate-meet between periods, like at the F5, too.

Wednesday, given that we are at the hotel anyway, I wouldn't mind meeting up with some folks for a decent dinner somewhere around there.

Actually a good dinner Wednesday night would be a good idea. I really don't know anywhere to eat in downtown St. Paul that isn't a bar that we go to during final 5...

For the meet and greet, we usually just meet below the WCHA jerseys.

Great Waters Brewing is near there, as is the Liffey. Both have good food.

I think Bunny's would be your closest option. How well you can view the game will depend upon where you sit. Bellying up to the bar would be your best option.
