I've never understood how the season can affect peoples' moods. I should be depressed because its cold and there's snow? I don't think so,
It's due to the low sun angle / insufficient direct sunlight.

Whatever it is, doesn't affect me. When there's decent sunlight, I take advantage of it, if its winter and there isn't, eh, no big deal.

Good morning, Lodge. Despite oversleeping and missing my morning run, I've still managed to wash a load of dishes, wipe down the oven and countertops, do two loads of laundry, and sweep the floor.

About one person in ten has it in the northern US.
Well, that isn't too many people, percentagewise, I guess I shouldn't lose faith in humanity yet. Actually, forget that, there are plenty other reasons to lose faith in humanity. :p

I was successful in scaring away the random people that decided to follow my Twitter account. Comments about strangling babies was all it took, I expected a little more gumption from someone willing to follow some random person that isn't even famous.

Well I survived the reduction. So good to know I have something to do on weekdays still.

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 130: Revolutions Abound!

Anyone ever hear of the following scam for Senior Portraits?

My brother just got his wallet photos from the photographer (long fight between my mom/bro and the photog*), and across the back of about half his wallet photos is advertising for the company. Not just Company name, but the name/address/photog and file name of the photos, and they're repeated a few times on EVERY photo filling up the back. It looks like it was run through a copier to achieve the effect.

Anyone ever heard of such nonsense? I can understand putting the name of the company on the back, but this sounds like horsesh!+.

* The photographer also "doesn't do proof books," forces you to sit and watch the slideshow of photos (which appear random instead of in order of how they were taken), and then deletes the "proof" digital photo if you tell him you don't quite like it never allowing you a chance to go back and re-view the photos for your final judgment. My brother and mother tried to discuss some issues with the photos back in November, YESTERDAY was the first day the photographer called her back, and only because they withheld payment (photog wanted to be paid-in-full up front back in August, before providing ANY photos (digital or printed)).

Just trying to offer advice from long distance to my brother, but it sadly sounds like the last couple months of his senior year in high school is going to suck with his senior photos being held hostage like this.

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 130: Revolutions Abound!

Did the entire school use this photog?

No, as far as I was told by my brother he was the only one. The photog gave my brother a CD with his 30 chosen "proof" photos on it (for $20) in a slideshow format and at the end it's filled with a half dozen slides that have more advertising on it and "classmates of his," (he didn't recognize a single person, and his graduating class is 60 people this year).

I'm just looking for insight on this, I've never heard of such blatant advertising in senior photos; or such ego-maniacal photogs.

*edit* It's a complete 180 from when I used the same photog for my senior photos a decade ago.
