I would also argue that without Ruth, we have none of the others. Sports in general were certainly growing at the time, but Babe Ruth took the whole idea, put it on a rocket, and shot it to the moon. Ruth was basically bigger than the entire sporting world itself. I'm not sure we can say that about the others, with the exception of maybe Ali.

I really don't want to go to work tomorrow.

I would also think you can make quite the compelling argument for Bobby Orr over Gretzky. A defenseman leading the league in scoring is unheard of. But #4 did just that, twice, and about a decade before the scoring went ape**** across the board for the NHL, all on shot knees.

Last day at my current job tomorrow. They're still trying to talk me into staying. The last week I have been bombarded with questions on how to do stuff, since I seem to be the only one who knows how to do certain things. Some of them are legitimately scared about what's going to happen there after tomorrow. So far I have received a 12 pk. of Grape Crush and a Justin Bieber folder (inside joke. I told them they could have at least gotten me a Taylor Swift one, since I actually listen to her music once in a while) as parting gifts from certain members of my team. We'll see what else I get tomorrow from others. There are definitely some things I'll miss about it, but I am glad to be moving on.

Gonna be going to sleep on a boat for the last time for the next 3+weeks soon :) The bad news (well, I guess good news, really) is my flight isn't until 4pm out of Houstown tomorrow, yet I'll probably be getting off the boat at 10am only an hour or so away from the airport. Guess I'll be posting up at a bar and trying to remind myself what alcohol is.

He does, and views Gleason and Gaarder as turncoats. His summer AAA team is mostly EP kids. He was in a box with 3 EP kids and they started razzing him about being the only Hornet and he said "but I like Kyle Rau" and everyone was cool with him then. :D
I was wondering about that as well, but apparently you've got him trained too well an under and unfortunate spell of love for the rodents.:p

Morning y'all. Looking at a 20 hour travel day yet again, maybe I'll catch a nap somewhere so I'm not driving 3 hours home late tonight after being up 17 some odd hours and only sleeping for 4-5 last night.

Something tells me I'm going to enjoy a redbull or 3 today, especially tonight.
