'Morning, Loj.

Which one of you *ers was sick this weekend, because I am definitely coming down with something.

There's a what-kind-of-orgies-go-on-around-here joke in there somewhere, but I just don't have it this morning. You all can fill in the rest. Uh, so to speak. :p

Morning Lodge.

Another interview this afternoon. Feeling kind of languid this morning, better fire up in time for this one.

Phone interview yesterday went well, I think. Definitely my kind of role. Run a small department of about 10-12 engineers on my kind of projects.

Good luck to you sir!

Just made my first security deposit on my first lease ever. Time flies.

He didn't even cost me much to do that, either! Was worth every penny too!

Just got an email from Tenant Services. NStar is still working on the power grid in the area so they've had to shut down 2 of the 4 elevators and all the escalators in my building. They also said it might be warmer than usual as they reduced the air conditioning. Which is not a problem as it's freezing here today. Gettng from fllor to floor is taking longer as there are only two working elevators. We could use the elevators in the old building but they don't come up to our floor (we're on 10, that building only has 9 floors) and you can't get to them on the 9th floor as that is the senior executive part of the floor. Hopefully I can stay put the rest of the day. What a pain.

I didn't mention this yesterday, but at the rink yesterday I found a Rodent puck with national champions 2002 and 2003 on it.. So I sent a text to my dad, a just my luck type of deal.. I texted him again today when the kid in class did this, his reply was maybe some one set you up... I should've known it was you!!!!!

Edit: okay old man, next class, and another one. Jokes over...

Why do I have to take all the angry customer phone calls? Then you explain to them the issue and they are dumb as a rock.

Just out of curiosity, what good would it do if you got up to the correct floor but in a different building? :)

Busy as **** today. I had to drive all the way to goddamm Chaska to get an $8 fitting, that we needed ASAP. That sucked.
You try walking eight floors in heels.
I wore heels all weekend.

Ho hum, at Hobby airport waiting to fly to hotlanta. Plane should leave within an hour. Then a 1.5 hour layover, then flight to Syracuse. With any luck I'll be at my vehicle by midnight and home by 3am. Currently drinking monster number dos, I'm sure I'll have another one during my drive home.

It's a good thing those MUSM students are so hard up for cash, makes it much more reasonable to harass Mavsy. :)

Awesome last day at work. Couldn't have gone better. Except for the a-hole Gopher fan that chirped me when I was on break (wearing a Sioux sweatshirt). :D

Bbdl - even if you don't get sick, you can still infect other people as a carrier. A big example of that is STD transmission - many of those diseases show no symptoms in the majority of people who have them and thus get spread quite easily.

As far as the greatest athlete debate is concerned, I think you have to split it on the basis of endurance. The major sports (plus fight-based ones) place their emphasis on doing something at high intensity over a short period of time with ample opportunity to rest. The niche sports like long distance running, cycling, and triathlons require hours of continuous effort without rest, and thus, you have an apples-to-oranges comparison here.
