Considering where each of you two are located, I guess you may as well meet at my place. I'll bring some back if you're willing to come to MN ;)

Wally and I want to pass along two words to you, Mister Sea Cruise: FED-EX.

So you think your work schedules bites? With the Olympics getting ready to begin in a few weeks in Vancouver have a look at the Canucks' schedule from Januray 31st through mid-March. I hope they get to keep the frequent flyer miles. ;)

Jan. 30 at Toronto
Feb. 2 at Montreal
Feb. 4 at Ottawa
Feb. 6 at Boston
Feb. 9 at Tampa Bay
Feb. 11 at Florida
Feb. 12 at Columbus
Feb. 14 at Minnesota
March 2 at Columbus
March 3 at Detroit
March 5 at Chicago
March 7 at Nashville
March 9 at Colorado
March 10 at Phoenix

Aww...those poor hockey players getting paid at least a half million dollars to play a game they love while travelling around north America...they even get 2 weeks off in the middle to watch the olympics in their "home town" ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 98: Favorite Alter Ego

Did anyone else get an email from USCHO/NCAA asking to take a survey? I just got it, and took the survery, because it seemed like a better idea than working. It was fairly long and detailed about my interest in hockey and different levels of hockey. Hopefully they put the information to good use, I figured if I can tell the NCAA how much I enjoy NCAA hockey, that can only be a good thing.

Yup - took it. :)

Got it. BCS and NCAA lacrosse got especially low rankings from me. ;)

when it gave you a chance to fill in the blank about what you love most about college hockey, I should have referenced that stupid ****ing lacrosse game that ruined UND vs UNH  darn

Yeah... it definitely would have been better if there was more of an opportunity to give open ended answers.

Did I mention that I finally got a cell phone on Saturday?

I suspect that they will now go out of common usage. :)

I tried to take it, but Maryland kept calling timeouts.

I kept hoping for a chance to tell them how ****ing stupid it is to hold the FF in a football stadium. And that's why I did not apply for the lottery for the first time in 10 years.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 98: Favorite Alter Ego

My friend in DC still doesn't have one either - it's quite stunning.

He probably doesn't have old age keeping him from change. :)

BTW, the Rock Doc deserves part of the credit/blame for this. He was in DC a week earlier and we decided to meet in the Air and Space Museum at 5 PM and go to dinner. I, as I always do, got there almost an hour earlier. After about 10 minutes of being bored I decided that it would be nice if I could find him wherever he was and just go to wahtever exhibits he was looking at. Of course, I couldn't.

If I had a cell phone I could have called him. I didn't. There was, suprisingly, however, a bank of public phones, and I called him. He was maybe 50 feet away sitting down waiting for the people he was with to see an exhibit.

I got the survey and it tasted my fury with the NBA and media coverage of the sport.

Of course, I think the survey was trying to find out how crazy we fans are and if they can put the F4 on Mars and if we'll travel to see it.

I thought YOU were one of the IT guys at work?

Jeeze, I hope MEUSA gets that sorted out quick. Has a fever that needs a surgeon does not sound good!
?MRSA? hope not!

You know, I had the same thought. Not the Mars thing specifically, but if that was kind of their angle.

Considering I flew to Denver two years ago and flew to DC last year I was kind of stuck and had to answer that I'd fly to see the F4.

I'm also curious if they're going to eyeball these results to see if they can expect any sort of crowd in Tampa in 2012.
