Thanks for all the well-wishes, guys (and gals). It's been a rough 8 months and I can't thank all of you enough for listening, advising, and supporting me through it. Not sure what I would have done without a place to vent (poor tcbg took a lot of venting too).

Gave notice at 11:30 this morning. Office Manager took it well. I tried to talk about the fact that I've gained a lot of experience in the office and that I'm not leaving with a bad feeling, but she laughed and said, "yeah, right. You're miserable. NFL Network replayed the 2003 wild card game where the Steelers came back to beat the Browns earlier tonight... :)

Evening, Lodge. It's nice to be able to come home after a rough day at work, watch hockey, and talk to an old friend.

I actually opened a bottle of wine tonight, because that game depressed the ever living hell out of me. I never drink at home. I was driving so I didn't want to drink. That performance was enough to drive anyone to drink. Except for RPI fans. :o Good to see GLM. His broadcast booth was literally right above my seat. I hope the mic he taped to the wall didn't pick up any of my frustrations.

And congrats to bostonewe who won Season Ticket Holder of the Game!! I've never won. But I'm not bitter.

Went to a HS hockey game with the boss, got home and needed to warm up so we had a glass of B&B in front of the tree. Now watching Letterman and he just confused Gary Coleman and Mr. T - the B&B made that really funny.

Another saga in the SiouxTechie situation:

Along with the fire that happened earlier this week, there was also a water main break in the building, which forced the rest of the building that was not already gone to evacuate. So now I do not know if I can even move back into the building or not. I'll probably stay with my parents for the rest of the month, what with the holidays approaching anyways. So hopefully I get some of my rent money back, my landlord has been pretty flexible with what's been going on this week.

Ugh...

Home from Vegas. That was epic, but my wallet hates me now.

I stayed in the MGM, which was pretty nice. The conference was at the Tropicana.

Monday was my "why the fark did I do that?" night. Went to the club in Planet Hollywood to see Steve Aoki and got blasmed, then went from there (I will divulge no further details, but I will say I was able to apply a sage piece of advice I learned from a Mr. Chris Rock.) I didn't get to bed until about 5 AM, and then at 7 I woke up and BAM, I was perfectly fine. No hangover, fully alert, made it to day 2 of the conference on time. I have no idea how that happened.

Saw Cirque du Soleil on Wednesday and went to New York New York and Stratosphere on Thursday. The top of Stratosphere was freaky. Nothing but open sky and about 900 feet down to tStrip.

The Tropicana hosts the new Let's Make a Deal. There were tons of contestants running around the hotel on Thursday. Two of them were wearing stripes. I'm not kidding.

Just kidding. ;)

What a strange game. Our powerplay with totally ineffective with IIRC only 3 shots in 6 powerplays and giving up two SHGs, but somehow we dominated in the faceoffs. The power play missed Jerry D'Amigo and even more Mike Bergin. Anyway, we really needed a win after the debacle vs. Union.
