My wife is one of ten siblings. Her dad also one of ten. Her mom one of six. Mrs. Shot told me at one point in her life she had eighty-five cousins from the progeny generated by her aunts', uncles', brothers' and sisters' families.

The first picture you see upon entering our home is of family reunion held by my mother-in-law's family [Mrs. Shot's mom]. It was held in the early 1980s in Winter Park--one of the ski resort, year-'round vacation spots in Colorado. There are 240 people in the picture and not all the people invited to attend the reunion were able to do so. Please bear in mind this was from the SMALLER side of my wife's family tree.

Pick a state, pretty much any state. Good chance my wife has a relative living there.

So you use google Earth for your family snapshots?

It's one of his wife's nephews (I think), he's about a year older than I am. Uncle has brought him up to hunt for the last few years and we've just been inviting him to join us.

As for my aunt, she almost always stays downstate with her gigantic Italian family. Mafia business, you know.

We're also doing the Mile High Turkey Trot that morning. 4 mile run. Should take the guilt off.

Running 4 miles before you gorge yourself doesn't sound like it'll really accomplish anything.

Yes, I'm posting while driving the tractor. It drives itself, I set the computer and just sit here. This is pretty sweet.

Are you going to complain about how tired you are when you're done?

Hey kids. Drive by post before I head home to eat, do laundry and pack. I'm taking my niece/goddaughter to NYC for Thanksgiving to see the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade (for her sweet 16 birthday which is in February) and we're staying through the weekend to catch the BU-Cornell game at Madison Square Garden. BU is 3-0 with her in attendance so hopefully that streak will continue.

Just made reservations for Thanksgiving dinner and ordered tickets for the NBC tour on Friday. We're also going to try and get those same day tickets for a show on Friday night. That might not happen. We'll see.

We're taking the bus down Wednesday morning. Bus has wireless so if I can fit my laptop, maybe I'll post from the road! I am coming in to work tomorrow. Ton of stuff I need to get done.

No oats around here, corn and soybeans are what we do.

I won't be too tired after a day like today, after all I don't even have to turn the steering wheel except for the end of passes.

I have to commute to the north suburbs tomorrow morning for my normal job. Not looking forward to that...

On the contrary, it's great way to be able to enjoy more food on a holiday. I will be doing much the same thing.

After my wife and I go to a Thanksgiving morning mass at church, I'll be heading to the gym to do a level fifteen program on the elliptical trainer. In a sixty minute workout, followed by a five minute cool down, I'll burn 960-970 calories.

On a guilt-free basis, I plan on having a piece of pumpkin pie and a piece of pumpkin pie for dessert that afternoon/evening, each topped with whipped cream, accompanied by a second or third glass of red wine because of the workout I'll have had earlier in the day.
