You realize of course that sooner or later Les, huskyfan or other female Lodge members are going to read your posts and neg rep you into oblivion :D
You're lucky Mel is the best, and hasn't rocked you. Or maybe she's composing a reply as I post :p

If so I deserve it and besides its all in good fun. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 90: This Poll Sucks!!!

I put mine up on Saturday morning. Easily the nicest weather I've ever put lights up. Did you go with LED lights? All my outdoor lights are LED. I only do the roof line on the front of the house (blue) and wrap up the two ewe trees in front (red). Then we put the Xmas tree in the center of the picture window. It's simple, tasteful and easy. :)

You may have mentioned this before, but how old is your bil? I guess I thought he must be in his twenties, but apparently he's still hanging out with his mom and dad most of the time, so he must be younger?
I would guess over 35...

We didn't intentionally snub them. We were out and about early Saturday morning as we had a full day scheduled with the little g's. We stopped back at our room about 2 PM to grab a couple itmes we had forgot to bring and *boom* the in laws were entering their room..........RIGHT NEXT TO OURS!

The only good thing is that they ended up paying for our room and meals. (They don't know it yet but they did. :p ;) :D :) )
heh.

I am not a light hanging type of guy. Maybe next year.

He is 39 years old. Mommy still changes his diaper. It is pathetic.
Before you told I guessed. He is not stupid- playes the mrs. g family like a piano.

So this means you put out? Does it also mean you prune the bush?
Hello to you, too.
They've certainly made it easier to hang lights. clips for any type surface, remote on/off, etc. Because I live on a corner and there's no other houses close, my lights, simple as they are, really pop. I get lots of compliments :)

I really don't know what to say.
I've seen similar when they're an only child. My cousin is 30 and her parents still tend to every little thing princess wants. I don't mean to be cruel, but the fact is that more than likely you'll outlive your parents. Then what? You can't expect ANYONE else to fill that kind of role.

/end rant

ETA - do you seriously think bil may be a poster here?
One of my frequent flier patients had 5 kids, all into nefarious activities and living at home past their 20s. She was always in with all these somatic complaints. All of a sudden, she stopped coming. She showed up for a physical after not having been in for months. Turned out she kicked em all out. She told me she decided that if she propped them up until she died she figured no one would be there to help. She figured if they fell down when she was alive and they decided to straighten out she would still be there. I have never forgotten that.

Holy ****. I was NOT expecting this answer at all!!!

Man up you *****.
I was.

Greetings from Grand Rapids.

Got to hang out with a bunch of the family last night. It was nice. Off to the church to say goodbye soon. Grandpa wanted me to play "The Victors" at the service, so hopefully that will go well.
Goosebumps. Hope it went well.

Going to Bemidji. My mother is one of 15. Probably going to be 75 people in attendance + or - 25. ;) My aunts own a restaurant and that is where the party will be. Needless to say there will be lot's of good stuff to eat.
Yikes.

I really enjoy cooking. In the g household I probably prepare 80% of the meals. Tonight I am preparing beef tendrloin with portabello mushrooms and wild rice. (The little g's don't eat typical little kids food very often.)
L'il eats less now than when he was younger. Mr was never taught to eat anything, so much so he was a social cripple when it came to going out. No one ivited him because he was so picky they were afraid to serve everything. Now L'il is older he is more like his Dad (who has, giving him credit, branched out quite a bit).

So we should call you "Yan". :p

Rattlesnake isn't too bad, but I'd skip the sea anemone too. :o

And yeah - that does sound like a good idea. No letting kids only have chicken nuggets and crustless sandwiches, no matter how much they want them.
Why would anyone feed their kid that kind of sludge in the first place?

GOing to the kitchen for dinner- having 12. Small but we aren't a big family. 2 Turkeys- one store bought, one fresh off the farm. Already prepping in the kitchen. This while dodging the drywall guys who need my sink for the water to make the plaster.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 90: This Poll Sucks!!!

Actually, I'd be totally content to spend all day, every day in my kitchen. But someone has to pay for the bacon... :o

Howdy lodge. On vacation today, so I'm in a tractor. :p

Yes, I'm posting while driving the tractor. It drives itself, I set the computer and just sit here. This is pretty sweet.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 90: This Poll Sucks!!!

Just found out from a friend that we're going to the Ranger's/Jackets game tonight. He found some pretty good tickets at less than half face value, and it gives me an excuse to skip my night class. Heh.

As for this Pilgrim memorial thing, it sounds like my Mom's brother and his family (wife, 3 kids) will be joining us, and I would imagine my grandfather will be there too. Sounds like atleast 10 for us, which is up from the usual 5. I will then be headed to the woods that night for my annual one day of deer season since I'm a NYC dweller and, well, they don't let you legally hunt tasty animals down here.

My wife is one of ten siblings. Her dad also one of ten. Her mom one of six. Mrs. Shot told me at one point in her life she had eighty-five cousins from the progeny generated by her aunts', uncles', brothers' and sisters' families.

The first picture you see upon entering our home is of family reunion held by my mother-in-law's family [Mrs. Shot's mom]. It was held in the early 1980s in Winter Park--one of the ski resort, year-'round vacation spots in Colorado. There are 240 people in the picture and not all the people invited to attend the reunion were able to do so. Please bear in mind this was from the SMALLER side of my wife's family tree.

Pick a state, pretty much any state. Good chance my wife has a relative living there. :)
