Very quiet at the Gonzo's. Only daughter is coming over, and the next day, Mrs. leaves for Duluth to visit her Mom and her Sister who will also be there.

What a coincidence, I'm going to Duluth Friday as well.

It'll be pretty quiet around my house too - my girlfriend is coming down from Michigan for a chunk of the week, which'll be nice. Otherwise, it'll just be my parents and my uncle.

EDIT: Keep in mind I'll be traveling a whopping .75 miles.
Also, this week, I'll be moving to Houghton, which should be very interesting.

Moving into the girls' house down there? I'm surprised there's a midyear vacancy.

Yup! Well, technically, in September, they decided to close the third floor because of the lack of girls living in the house, and the amount that they'd save. However, enough new girls signed leases/are going to for next semester, that they reopened it. I'll be living alone up there for a month, and then two other girls will be moving in up there in January. Right now, we've got 10 girls in the house, and we're going to have 14, I believe, for next semester.

Ah, gotcha. It didn't seem like you were that low on membership, but I suppose that a lot of them already had leases signed. (I know that Heather was unlikely to move in there for instance, since she already had a lease with her sister and some of our other Brothers.)

I've got to make that long trip from the bedroom to the living room in the morning. Sometime around 1-ish, I hope to be summoned to the dining room to join the Mrs, the 2 college brats... er... daughters, mom, and mil. Small, quiet celebration. Since I'll be the only male in the house, I don't plan on lingering at the dinner table. I might actually have to watch the Lions!

We're actually not that low on membership. With my pledge class, we have about 24 or 25 actives. We just don't force people to live in the house, though, I'll probably end up living there for at least 2.5 years.

Going to Bemidji. My mother is one of 15. Probably going to be 75 people in attendance + or - 25. My aunts own a restaurant and that is where the party will be. Needless to say there will be lot's of good stuff to eat.

Headed up north to the Petoskey area on Wednesday with my parents. Uncle is already up there at his place due to deer season, as he is a self-employed sealcoater and gets winters off. Uncle may be bringing a distant relative w/ him for the third year in a row.

Thanksgiving dinner will just be our usual small affair, though mom and I will undoubtedly cook enough food for ten anyway rolleyes: ). The big gathering won't be until we host Christmas Eve.

I'll be doing dinner with Quiz, her parents, and her brother and his significant other. Deep fried turkey is on the menu, as well as oven roasted. I'm making my own stuffing and green bean casserole.

We're also doing the Mile High Turkey Trot that morning. 4 mile run. Should take the guilt off.

Wash Park is always jammed T-day morning as the Trot is one of the most heavily attended runs of the year in that venue.

I actually refuse to cook. The last thing I tried to "cook" was popcorn in the microwave and I burnt it. PB then realized that me cooking was a terrible idea.
