Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 88: What's in your stash?

If you were on EST this would be less painful.
I'm a night owl, and don't like early mornings under any circumstances unless I just haven't gone to bed yet. 4:00 always sucks.
I was pulled over by a Hennepin County Sheriff this morning. I took a left at a stop sign and was speeding up toward the 50 MPH zone, but was still in the 30 MPH zone. He ran my record , saw it was clear, and let me off with a verbal. Apparently speeding tickets here are now $145
Naturally I was quite appreciative :D
I got pulled over in a similar situation in Florida one time on Christmas Eve. Once he established that I wasn't drunk, the cop told me to slow down and that he was giving me a $150 Christmas present. I was also very appreciative.
Mmm....now I want pizza.
I had some pretty good pizza from a local Pittsburgh place last night to cap off my trip.
Many of you know the story behind little g. To make a long story short little g has made the short list in regards to a stem cell procedure. Please say a prayer that he makes the list.
Best of luck to little g! :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 88: What's in your stash?

My flight from Pittsburgh to Minneapolis this morning included the Robert Morris men's hockey team, who were on their way to Bemidji. That was kind of neat.

I'm confident the Bobby Morrises will be taking their customary four points from the Bemidjis.

Stay tuned for a rebuttal from what's-his-name.

Bronx pizza places trump everything. End of discussion. ;)

Thanks Scarlet, it was definitely a memorable night last night, and being able to go to the parade tomorrow will add to it. I'm just glad its over so that I have no excuse to go to the bar again tonight.. my wallet is thanking me for that.:o

I've got nothing. I will let my team do the talking on the ice. ;)

Here's an excerpt for you from Mark Hasty's on-line opinion as to where teams in the Big 10 will be going during bowl season.

====>MINNESOTA
Current record: 5-4
Games remaining: Illinois, South Dakota State, @ Iowa
Predicted wins: Illinois, South Dakota State
Final record: 7-5
Postseason prediction: Champs Sports Bowl vs. Duke. Yes, Duke. The Gophers finally realize there's life after Eric Decker, but Duke manages to get the win anyway.<=====

Losing to Duke in football, that's about the bottom of the barrel. No wonder the Golden Golfers will be going to the CHUMPS SPORTS BOWL. :D :D :D :D

Absolutely!

Yay, I'm home! Did that guaranteed stand by thing and made the 12:30 shuttle home. I'm unpacked and now I can run to the dry cleaners instead of waiting till Saturday. My brother is flying in from LA tonight and my mom made her beef stew. I just called to see if there was enough for me so I'm heading there for dinner. I need a homecooked meal, and mom's are usually the best!

And fingers definitely crossed for little g!! What will this procedure entail, if you don't mind my asking? And if you do, that's OK.

It is amazing how productive I can be when I am 2 cans of Monster deep in caffeine and listening to Disturbed.
I'm confident the Bobby Morrises will be taking their customary four points from the Bemidjis.

Just like every other team they've played this season, right!:p

Beef stew may or may not be on the menu tonight in the Lodge

I went to rep gmann (which I couldn't anyway, as I had to pass more out), but almost reported him on accident. :o **** icons are too close together.

1. Removal of bone marrow from pelvic bone. The stem cells are isolated

2. Stem cell implantation. After the marrow is extracted and stem cells are prepared and ready to be applied.

3. Lumbar puncture or direct stem cell implantation to insert the stem cells into the body.

FWIW this will not be done in the United States but Europe. Our country is light years behind in regards to stem cell research.

At first I thought, "I've only lived in Minneapolis 3 months and visited 3 times before that, I couldn't have gotten pizza from that many different places.

After thinking some more: Little Caesar's, Domino's, Papa Johns, Papa Murphy's, Broadway Pizza (downtown location), Campus Pizza, Village Pizza, Mesa Pizza by the Slice, Cosetta's.

Any suggestions for other places to try? Preferably something closer to Chicago-style or Greek, this thin-crust crap is killing me.

Yeah. The thin crust dominates in the upper midwest, sadly. If you don't mind chains, Old Chicago has decent deep dish. I'm a fan of a pizza place on the west side of town (Plymouth) called Latuff's. They just moved across hwy 55 to the north side. They've been around forever.
