Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 88: What's in your stash?

For the second time today I get reassurance that I'm doing a good job at work! This is like Christmas! :D

Ever since I have started my new job I've never been completely sure with myself, that I'm going about things the right way, which I think is understandable starting a new job. Just a bit ago, I got a question via instant messaging, asking for some data on an engine. I chat with the guy, getting some more info from him, looking some stuff up, finding what he's looking for, etc. and after about 15 he says that he's also chatting with my co-worker who was responsible for this task before I was. Apparently this guy was having me and the guy that used to do this work look up this info for him simultaneously, so I call my co-worker, and we talk about, decide that I should take over from here, and he emails me his instant message conversation with the customer. Turns out he did the exact same thing, and came to the exact same conclusions that I did on my own. I finally feel like a have a good grasp on what I'm doing now!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 88: What's in your stash?

On another note, my mom has began asking about what I'm going to do after my dad retires from farming. My dad won't ask, because I think he's scared to hear that I don't want to farm. So it has already started, and I'll have to deal with this question for the next 12-15 years....:(
Yeah, thats something else I'm going to have to start worring about myself. Mom isn't that far from being 60, and well, still pretty spry for her age, but sooner or later she just won't be able to handle the horses as much as she does now.

OK, Lodgonians, I need some actual advice here.

So, I got a rather interesting message from he who is known as RC. I haven't spoken to him in quite some time, except for a brief encounter on AIM a few weeks ago to confirm a rumor. Anyway, this message was... strange and out of nowhere, and basically a long, drawn out apology for everything and how unhappy he is now. How he worded things was, well, kind of scary sounding. (My roommate said he sounded suicidal... he's always been a bit of a drama queen, but that's not something I want to just brush off...) Anyway, what should I do? Ignore it entirely? Have someone talk to him? Message him back?
In this case, I wanna pass you some advice that Commie gave me about my Ex and her trying to get back into my life.

"Fuk him in the *****! Wear a Rubber." ;) :D

Sure, want to help me rearrange furniture and figure out where I'm going to put my awesome new huge sofa that is getting delivered tomorrow?

(I'm just a bit excited, it's big, and comfy, and long enough to fall asleep on comfortably. I just hope the delivery people can get it through the door and up the stairs)

If it's longer than one cushion it's big enough for you to fall asleep on.
Right about that.

Are you saying that a light will go on when I reach 100,000 posts?

Yes. The "Check Keyboard" light.
Win!!

Just checked my syllabus today and realized that I need to have completed 15 one hour massages on friends and family next Thursday. Who else wants to donate their body to science?? ;) :D

A brief interlude about car talk that included bits on: American brand cars, brand loyalty, Gonzo being unable to screw correctly, check engine lights, and perception of ability of companies to be able to build cars.

SFIS had a successful surgery (gets cath out tomorrow and test results back) is hoping to screw again (may want to take this up with Gonzo).

RB is rapidly closing in on 100K and may need to tune up his keyboard if the check keyboard light comes on. He's also got a doc. appt. coming up, so positive thoughts in his direction.

nmu/diva is having some troubles with the RC and was asking for advice - some helpful, some not. Most important thoughts were that she is not responsible in any way for his behaviour.

Monster needs to do 15 massages by next week, so line up!

bb_dl is a stud at his new job and got 2 positive reviews today. He's also planning to go to the GLI (some hockey tournament) and has purchased airplane tickets and some lovely ladies.

Gonzo also received positive reviews at his new gig.

Bob got a tattoo and has started running again. *thumbs up* from the doc on his progress.

You know, I bet some of those bottles probably managed to not crack there. I bet we could work our way thru all of them within a day or two. 12 hours tops if we have the Penalty Box with us. ;)

Idiots like that give us forklifting experts a bad name.

And bbdl, sometimes getting the "vote of confidence" is not good. Ask Steve Slaton. Or most any coach fired in mid-season. ;)

BTW, you've met the girl that I'm going to GLI with, not sure if you'll remember. She came down to the ambo for some drinks with us when everyone was in Houghton for the first invasion.
