Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 87: As All Hallow's Eve Approches.....

Picked up a couple of applications today: one to GVSU, the other to WMU. Time to start thinking about going back to school and earning my Master's. I've already ran a marathon; might as well start on the next Bucket List goal...

Bob, what was your major at NMU?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 87: As All Hallow's Eve Approches.....

The over/under on your getting to DIA is late Thursday...if then. On the positive side of things you'll have plenty of time in that hotel room to perfect your video game skills for the flight to Denver. :D

I'll take the under. And if I win, I get to raid your house before the Sioux/Gopher game. And drink all your booze. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 87: As All Hallow's Eve Approches.....

Huh. I didn't know he's a sailor
..or a physcisist  :D
morning Lodge.

One more time in Wichita. We'll see if I get back to Denver today. :(
I was watching the weather this AM and wondering if you would make it back.
Yeah, we are supposed to catch some of that storm too. 8-10 inches of snow predicted up here.
I just volunteered to manage my kid's soccer team for next summer. Why do I do this to myself?
Because you're a good dad :)
... but the hotel is in Wichita. :p

It'd be like getting paid to sit in the Travelodge in Houghton. Sure, you're getting paid to sit on your ***, but personally I'd rather pay NOT to sit on my *** in that hell hole.
Whoa, Bakunin saying he'd rather pay to get out of something! Must really be bad! :D
I'm meeting with my former manager and the CIO today as their customer. The last time I was in a conference room with those two, I walked out without a job

She better buy lunch :D
Maybe you should settle for keeping your job this time :p ;)
For the past year I have not paid much attention to my 401k statements. I am set up very aggressive and I am OK with peaks and valleys as I know there will be more peaks than valleys over the long term. I know at one point I was down. Way down. Year to date I am up 36%! :)
I'm up about 1/3 too, which just means I'm back to where I was 2 years ago! :(
1) My employer does a dollar for dollar match up to 6%.
Pfft, child's play :p I put in 2% of my salary and my employer matches with 10% :)

Back from bringing Lil' to the dentist. First experience with novacaine. He is now trying to say stuff and has me in hysterics.:D :D

I had to have a couple teeth out when I was about 13-14 range, and pretty much my whole mouth was numbed up. Mom stopped and got me a Dairy Queen treat afterwards. My attempts at eating it were pretty amuzing to the others with us :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 87: As All Hallow's Eve Approches.....

He keeps trying to say Bump with the emphasis on p. He and his Dad have done this since he was little. The P comes out likea popping sound. Right now it sounds like air coming out of a tire. I have fits of giggles every time he does it (so of course he keeps doing it.)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 87: As All Hallow's Eve Approches.....

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 87: As All Hallow's Eve Approches.....

What she said! ;)

I confused because I don't really know the backstory on the R-man (and I'm guessing I don't want to?)...

*headdesk* Sorry, it was early.

'Afternoon, Lodge. I'm apparently one of the worst fans on USCHO, and I think my head is going to explode.

Afternoon Lodge.

Cheyenne is in full-on panic mode. All highways out of Cheyenne are closed, and the city is virtually shut down. I didn't have anything pressing, so I said screw it and went home.

Go north to the Great Land! Replace the Alero with an old jeep (with a functional heater), pack your hiking boots, cross country skis, and get there in time to see the Iditarod start in early March. I love that town.

Plus, you'll get to see your Huskies play at UAA's arena.

Consider also that there is no state income tax, no sales tax on anything (a twenty dollar bill actually buys you a $19.95 item), and a state-distributed oil dividend check is given every year to every person in the state. Usually they amount to $1,000 or so, but last year's was $2,200. A family of four like mine would have collected $8,800 - not bad. Something to think about when it comes to cost-of-living calculations.

Question 2: just how in the world do I pull off moving there? I've looked for moving companies, but have come up pretty much blank.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 87: As All Hallow's Eve Approches.....

**** phone has jet fuel now. Liking the upgrade, although my Android theme is kind of screwed up in landscape now:mad:

That happened with the theme I had as well. Some of the folks on crackberry.com's forums had some work arounds for it but I didn't care so much. Maybe I will find something new later on once the bugs are worked out by the designers of the themes.

The upgrade is just how the phone should've been from the get-go.

Well, you remember that Bronco II that you were talking about earlier? Get one of those again, or something similar, and rent a U-Haul trailer. Then drive north and enjoy the Great Alaskan Highway!

What he said. Or else, rent the U-Haul, go to Seattle, and take one of the ferries to Anchorage if you don't feel like driving.

We'll send the salvage ships a few hours after you sail. ;)

Afternoon, Lodge. One of the guys at work was talking to me about his taste in booze, and that just makes me want a drink or three.

No problem, it's all good. ;)

I'm still a rookie at this so I wasn't sure if letting it all hang out was appropriate!

Luckily, a few peeps helped me over the setback (they know who they are).1348285396
