Quite a few, but not many in college hockey country
Indianapolis would be the closest I could get to home. Phoenix wouldn't be bad. San Diego would be gorgeous, but expensive (the government does do cost of living allowance though.) I could also possibly stay in Cheyenne, which wouldn't be the worst of situations (the lack of state income tax is a biggie for me...that's basically a free thousand dollars or so.)
Oh my Parise Alaska would be insane though. No state income tax, no state sales tax, $2K a year from the oil pipeline folks, etc. The only thing stopping me is that you really can't up and leave when you feel like it - you're pretty much stuck there. Oddly enough, Anchorage would be the largest city I've ever lived in in my life (270K population.)
