Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 85: Pants or no Pants?

Well, today was a **** sandwich, but the evening is off to a pleasing start. Hopefully there won't be a rant on the D-1 side tonight. Hopefully...
Could always rant about how it was a bad move for Clinton to move to the Tri-County Conference. Picked up a calzone from Hometown and drove by the field. Clinton up 27-0 with about 4 minutes left I think. Believe it was Whitmore Lake. Maybe just a little more exciting than watching GV taking on Tiffin.

here you go. afterwards you'll realize that you really don't want these four minutes back in your life ;)

Ouch!!! MurderDeathKill would be too dang nice to do to an idiot that would ruin somebody's four day weekend that just started out with some Sonic. A thimble of flesh taken from him every day for a year would be better. :D
You're on the right track, but I believe Prometheus' eternal punishment would fit well here.

Fixed that for ya ;)

In a new twist, I've been given an opportunity to interview for a similar job at the paper mill in Becker, MN as a business analyst. When it was mentioned during my exit yesterday, I interpreted it as a new hire scenario, not a transfer. Apparently they have requested me to come talk to them, which is flattering. I'd do software maintenance and installs, and I'd also do hardware and telcom. All my seniority and benefits would be bridged. I'm not crazy about putting 60 milles a day on my truck, but it's a great place to work and I know the staff there really well. I will meet with the GM when I get back from grouse hunting to discuss this option.
He's grouse hunting up north next week too. :)

/crosses fingers
Best of luck, Gonzo!

Evening, Lodge. Grilled chicken, roasted zucchini, and baked sweet potatoes for dinner tonight. Finally, I made a meal that I'm satisfied with.

Yeah, well, there's a major issue with our football team. Sexton is gone with a fractured tibia, likely done for at least the regular season. He had over 1200 yards already before he got hit last week. WL lost their starting QB last week because he bumped an official and got run.

The only game that might be worth watching is the Summerfield game. They're 6-0 coming into tonight and have the back half of the TCC left before coming to our house. I'd bet that they're coming into our game at 8-0 and that will be for the league title. I haven't been to a Clinton game since 2001, and maybe 1993 or 1994 before that.

Tempting, I would be around that night. Both teams are already in the playoffs, but there's the issue of the league title to play for. Might be worth going to that game.

I must meet your little girl. Maybe I can babysit her as I have both ABBA Gold and More ABBA Gold. And that video was Awe. Some. :)

Goddammit.

Que? Oh, hockey thing?

My niece/goddaughter plays junior varsity field hockey and her school was playing the town next to where I live so I left work a little early and went to go see her play. In the rain. Because I am a great aunt/godmother. :)

Displaced... do you get a paper license before you get a real driver's license? One of these Saturdays (not today since I didn't get a pay statement) I want to slide on down to the DMV to get a new license.

Yes. Be prepared to show it a lot, too.

can't say i get it... I expect a paper license 'cause that's what Mass does... somebody was telling me that in Maryland they just give you the real one right there... so I figured I'd ask.

Real problem is that a paper license isn't valid to buy beer otherwise I wouldn't give a ****.

Yes it is. You just have to have a secondary picture ID.

It's the same when you renew a license in MN. You have your photo ID and your paperwork.
