Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 84: Steal This.

Anyone have suggestions for stuff to take to help make the pain of a blinding toothache go away? I've been cramming Aleve like my name was Brett or Rush but I need something over the counter to help pile on since... I can't afford to get it worked on.

Suggestions for a soon to be pill-popper?

Crown and or bong hits. :)

Drink a large amount of liquor, then use a needle nose pliers to pull out the bad tooth. Then use more liquor to numb the hole where you tooth used to be. Actually, it is probably a good idea to keep drinking liquor for a week or so, then the pain should be gone, by the time you sober up.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 84: Steal This.

Even Clove Chewing Gum (the old-style stuff you see every so often in stores) will numb up your mouth... found that out the hard way before a concert once. :o

A friend of mine had the same happen. Oops.

Once I finally stopped smoking cloves, I had a few toothaches come out of the blue. Nothing serious evidently, just gum inflammation. (I never flossed until then, turns out it is a good idea)

I've had luck with garlic. Just chewing on a couple of cloves or mashing it up with coarse salt and applying it to the aching tooth helps.

Interesting. This weekend a dead humpback whale showed up floating in a local river. Methinks someone took a wrong turn somewhere...

Try this cocktail, recommended by the oral surgeon who removed my wisdom teeth a few years ago:

Take:
500 mg of acetaminophen
600 mg of ibuprofen

Every 8 hours. Do not be late, do not miss a dose. Do not take more or less. Do not mix Aleve or aspirin (ibuprofen is an NSAID, don't mix them).

It's remarkably effective.

I remember taking that same mix. Worked well enough, until one of them turned into a dry socket. He then gave me something much stronger.:)

Yeah, I had the same thing happen. It doesn't take care of "blinding pain", but nothing short of the good stuff will really do that.

What's the deal with mixing Aleve and aspirin?

It will also keep folks from getting too close:D My mother grew up in Brooklyn Heights, she always talked about riding the subway with Italians and the smell of garlic, no vampires around:D

As I understand it from news clippings and such.

Aspirin and Ibuprofen can cause upper GI issues if you take both long enough or take too much of them. Doing it once in some low dose won't harm you.

Mainly Ibuprofen is suspected of canceling out the heart protection aspirin can provide. So if you had some heart issue you were treating, you wouldn't want to do it.

No worries then in that case.

Waiting to get a few more ducks in a row and then the boom is going to drop. Unfortunately I do not have a male appendage b/w my legs so I just get to hear the aftermath. :(

if it'll make you feel better... (wait for it...) strap one on!!! :D

The team. He was playing in the 2 tier of the select league in NE. All the select teams are run for profit and have owners/investors. Huge proliferation of the select teams in our area has decimated the town system in the last few yrs. Recently a number of them have folded (like L'il's team last yr) but it still screws up the whole system.

before tyler's game saturday i was watching the pee wee NS wings play the NE huskies. NS coach was yelling at the ref something embarrassing. i had to laugh. :D

Hi Lodge.

Worrying about the bf is no fun. He went on a business trip to tWorst state ever with someone who he told me is a crappy driver. Haven't heard from him yet, hoping it's just 'cause he's busy working, but I did send a text when he should have just been riding in the car (and I would think he'd have responded).

have we been bf/gf long enough to worry like this?!?! gonna scare em off wTHottie :D
