It is absolutely pouring here in lovely Houghton. I don't know that I've ever seen more hoods worn in my life. (Nor have I seen this many ponchos worn by people under 50)

I have had whale! In Reykjavik. Whale sushi. I said, Aren't whales protected? They said their whale was caught before the bans, and was being kept in the freezer, and they thawed out as much as they needed. Kind of wish they'd told me that before I ate it. :eek: Still, it was interesting. Very beef-like.

Good Morning Lodge

I get to work and I have an email saying that I am now in the 6-sigma training this fall, the same one I was told last week I couldn't get in. I really wish someone would make up their mind....
Now I can't go to Houghton for the Minnesota series again:mad: :(

I have an extra 2.5 days of vacation to burn the last 3 months of the year as well.....I am already planning on taking the whole week of thanksgiving off, and getting out of work early to go to Madison for a weekend series. Now that I have 3 weeks of training, where I can't take vacation, my choices are getting rather limited...

Well, you made it to 10. Mine was crappy at 4:30 AM when I was lying there thinking of all the things I would like to say to the azzhats at L'il's ex-team. I didn't get to sleep until almost 2 with the same evil thoughts in my head. Too bad I couldn't be like Carrie (that is the chick in the movie that used to wreak havoc on the kids she didn't like in school, right?)

And it's no better down here. It's spitting rain and the wind is going to blow for the next two days. Mother Nature just pimp-slapped us into fall.
