Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 83: Hot Toddies and Cool Weather

I just had that thought the other day, that the 2 year anniversary had to have been coming up. Happy Rep Day, everyone!

My rep anniversary isn't until May, IIRC. Ralph, confirmation?
Happy Rep Day to you too!

I went to Steak and Shake for lunch, mostly because we don't have them in MN and I was curious. The food wasn't nearly as bad as I expected, and the shake was actually quite good.

Steak 'n Shake was awesome at 3:30 in the morning while at the FF in Columbus. :)
Steak N Shake is also awesome when you're driving home and it's late. Their sign just seems to shine brighter when there's not as much traffic on the highway, and a steakburger after 10 PM always hits the spot.

And Hammer, at least you got to go outside tonight. I came home to find that no one had done dishes.

Mmm... roasted turkey breast, rice pilaf, peas, and washing it down with New Glarus Raspberry Tart. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 83: Hot Toddies and Cool Weather

btw, I have to ask. What's the deal with pesto, risotto, and organic?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 83: Hot Toddies and Cool Weather

I'm going to take that totally out of context because I can and, well, that's what we do around here.
Yeah, thats only fair. :)

Hehehe, you're probably right. I've already told him stories of some of my antics at hockey games and he keeps saying, "I like that about you". We'll see if he still says that after I take him to a game at Yost.

How is Indiana? I'm going to Indiana Saturday with some hockey addict from Minnesota. Should be fun to cheer against Sparty, but I'll be missing out on "talk like a pirate" themed tailgate for the Michigan game.
Dang, already talking about taking him to a game at Yost? Must be getting serious!! ;) Since he's already in Adrian, I assume you're going to drag him out to a Adrian game sometime when Michigan is out on the road? :D

And don't worry about Eastern Michigan, Probably the top 3rd of the GLIAC right now could beat EMU. :D And hell, if GVSU could just count their game this weekend at Ferris as a home game, GV would probably beat EMU for actual live bodies at games this year. :D :D

Howdy, Lodge.

Didn't sleep too well last night. Rough morning for me at the office. :(

Looking forward to plowing through the afternoon, getting home, putting the new family grill through its first session (I'm thinking vension steaks), and maybe going to bed before 11.
Mmmmm..... Venison Steak!!!!.... Drool!!!

I get to mow more grass.

BTW, Rally's/Checker's fries are outstanding as well.
Mmmmm.... yeah, A Big Buford would be pretty good.

I would picture his yard as nothing but boulders. Are you saying I'm wrong?
With all of the ****ing and moaning that Rock Doc did about mowing lawn down there in Valdosta, I figure he would roll out a few acres of Astroturf there. ;)

That or right after getting out of the late late showing of a movie. I've done a few midnight premier showings a few times and then hit up the Steak N' Shake that's right by the theatre there. Always an interesting time at that join at that hour of the night.

Well, pesto and risotto are foods and "organic" is a marketing ploy meant to guile more money from the idiots who could otherwise pay half the price for something not labeled "organic."

(A study released last week - forget who did it - showed no significant difference between standard and organic foods.)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 83: Hot Toddies and Cool Weather

Speaking of which......why is it all hell breaks loose on the day one is supposed to leave on vacation?? Trying to finish up to get out of here at 4pm and I'm almost to the point of tears. I say almost becaue - DARN IT - I'm going on vacation!!!

Same thing happened here, but it broke loose the day before. I think most of the brush fires are out by now though :)

Plenty--I made enough to feed 3 people but it was only me.

Tempting to come up there tomorrow and help finish it :)

Evening, Lodge. Spent 45 minutes on the phone with one girl who was convinced our student group was falling apart (it isn't, just going into rough times), and another 45 on the phone with another girl who's planning a big get-together for that group. Now I'm talking with a third girl who wants to join our group... and none of those three are the girlfriend even. :o

Someone needs to do a better job of screening his calls.

So I'm an idiot who presses enter instead of shift when giving reps.

Almington: That is the plan as soon as this project is done.
