Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 83: Hot Toddies and Cool Weather

I can't quite call Chipotle fast food, even though it's fast, and food... it's also several orders above Taco Bell. On the other hand, even though Applebee's is a sit-down restaurant... fast food.

Chick-Fil-A
Wendy's
Taco John's
Taco Bell
Subway
McDonald's breakfast

That's pretty much all I'll do nowadays.

I do want to try In-N-Out and Five Guys some time.

I guess I forgot Noodles and Co. I don't think of them as fast food, cause they don't have a drive-thru, but I guess they technically still are.

I haven't eaten Chick-Fil-A since I got sick to the point I couldn't even hold down water.

In and Out is very good, but obviously only available in California, Arizona, or Vegas.

Oh, and Dunkin Donuts when I am on the east coast. :D

Ever since a stretch of about 4 days where most of my meals came from Dunkin' Donuts... not so good. :o

Morning, Lodge. For some reason I had a dream about my town having a tiger infestation, and I had to avoid them while going to and from school  Guess I'll just avoid all CC, Princeton and Clemson fans today. ;)

I just had that thought the other day, that the 2 year anniversary had to have been coming up. Happy Rep Day, everyone!

My rep anniversary isn't until May, IIRC. Ralph, confirmation?

Correct

I'll try to remember to list the anniversaries of each of the charter members of tLodge over the next two weeks.
Wow, 2 years already! I'm starting year three of my release from exile in a hockey-less land :D
Good morning, Lodge! it's payday today! :)
Payday was Tuesday here, but is always a good day!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 83: Hot Toddies and Cool Weather

I got another Nigerian scam in my junk mail box today and read the text. They don't ask for any money just my ID information so they can send me cash by diplomatic courier.:D Does anyone actually still fall for these scams? I can't believe they get enough return on their time to make it worthwhile to send these things out.

Howdy, Lodge.

Didn't sleep too well last night. Rough morning for me at the office. :(

Looking forward to plowing through the afternoon, getting home, putting the new family grill through its first session (I'm thinking vension steaks), and maybe going to bed before 11.

In case you didn't know, I am a CDC (Certified Diplomatic Courier) so if you need some help just let me know....

I get to mow more grass.

BTW, Rally's/Checker's fries are outstanding as well.

No more talk of food. Too full. Went to Potbelly's. They don't have fries, but the loaded baked potato soup was wonderful. Soup with bacon in it = good.

Woo! Lunch was spent purchasing pie (for co-worker) and hair dye for me (I found another gray). Going back to my natural hair color. (also, can't wait to get a haircut! Three weeks to go). When I left I was in the virtual waiting room for Fenway hockey tickets, came back...still waiting.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 83: Hot Toddies and Cool Weather

I went to Steak and Shake for lunch, mostly because we don't have them in MN and I was curious. The food wasn't nearly as bad as I expected, and the shake was actually quite good.

I also got a good laugh out of the 2 guys sitting at the table behind me. They were having an argument about actors, the one guy was confusing Kevin Spacey, Patrick Swayze and Kevin Bacon, and the other one, who was obviously not much smarter than the first, was trying to explain the differences between the 3 actors, and the movies they were in. The first one didn't believe him, he was convinced that Kevin Bacon was in Dirty Dancing. All of this was in a hilariously awesome southern accent.
