Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

Why am I connie?:( she was a wuss from what I remember, whining about stuff I would have ripped the guys jewels off for...

when you were young, you wanted to be worldly and were loose with men. basically a whiny, stuck up tramp. now you are the strong female head as you've aged. ruthless and able to take control, but in the background since you are still a broad and men rule the family.

(and i didn't read that last part   )

of all the movies to cherry pick, you have TWO frank carbone?!?!?!

and les is not "naive" like Kay... she is Connie. 'nuff said.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

Yeah, I still have NO idea who these people are. All I ask is that I'm cute. I'm willing to be shallow.

Totally missed that somehow. Fine. You are Clemenza.

Lois is a character in Goodfellas (which is the #2 mafia movie in my book, even better than Godfather II, yeah I said it) who runs the drugs, and is uh, rather superstitious in her ways. Like, she HAS to have her lucky hat when she does drug runs. She's smart, but sort of naive/obsessive-compulsive, etc.

And you need to watch these movies, apparently.

Bah!!! I would rather think of myself as something more like Il Duce from Boondock Saints. When something has been all ****ed, they call me in. :D

You must see them. Both. Or is it three? Godfathers I and II (my fave movies of all time) and Goodfellas. Just good stuff.

OK, so, I got a piece of mail that didn't belong to me in my mailbox. It was from Chase (like, a welcome piece cuz he got his mortgage with them), so I left it on my table for a week or so, went to clear off all the junk mail and opened it and then realized it was addresses to a neighbor. What should I do? Throw it out?

And - I hate gambling. I'm done. For a while.

There's only two Godfather movies in a lot of our opinions, the third one "doesn't exist." I and II are the ones that are must-see films. Goodfellas also would be an outstanding choice of film.

If you know who it is/where he is, just slip it under his door, maybe with a note saying you accidentally opened it, unless it's junk mail. Then toss it.

And gambling? Yeah, we all say that. :p

Oh, I meant that I wasn't sure if I should consider Godfathers I and II one movie. When I said "See both" I meant Godfather and Goodfellas, but since you really need to see I and II, that would make it three total movies she needed to see. See? ;)

Godfather III was......not good. At all. And too confusing, and, well, no need to catch it if it was on cable. Such a disappointment.

Yeah, I'm leaning towards this. It was pretty much junk mail.

You should give them their mail. You've already broken the law once by opening it. Don't make it worse by throwing it out! :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

Alright - what do I rate in the Godfather saga?

Evening, Lodge. Watched a coworker drink two beers and two, 24oz, 10% ABV malt liquors. He got funny. :D

Then I'm hot for hockeybando. And bando, if you get into any cars when guys are running away from it: don't turn the key! You might get blow'd up.

That was the most tragic scene in all of The Godfather.

Who gets to be Michael Corleone? I want to be Shot's boss.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

Yeah, Appolonia was WAY *ING HOT. :)

Haven't figured out Michael. Maybe Scooby? An unwilling participant, who eventually accepts his fate? :D

One memorable night my roommate & I had a "Malt Liquor Night" double date, wherein we bought four 6-packs:

Shlitz Malt Liquor Bull
Colt 45
St. Ides
Mickey's

We randomly assigned each six pack and you had to finish all of them. My casually-moraled date dutifully finished the Colt 45 (I got stuck with St. Ides) and we too ended up getting funny. My roommate got the Mickey's, which was everyone's first choice. It wasn't until the next morning's headaches that we learned our lesson:

Don't do Malt Liquor Night again.
