Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

Yeah, Appolonia was WAY *ING HOT. :)

Haven't figured out Michael. Maybe Scooby? An unwilling participant, who eventually accepts his fate? :D
Hell, I thought it must have been in a previous post! Then I'M Michael, dammit!

ASaaG: I want you to head out to California and get a client of mine a part in a movie. By the way, do you like horses?

(Or did Vito give him that assignment?)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

Checking in again, hopefully back to regular perusing of the thread tomorrow or Wednesday. Hopefully hitting the sack here soon before watch again at 0330, last one of the weekend. Hope all of you had a good weekend:D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

One memorable night my roommate & I had a "Malt Liquor Night" double date, wherein we bought four 6-packs:

Shlitz Malt Liquor Bull
Colt 45
St. Ides
Mickey's

We randomly assigned each six pack and you had to finish all of them. My casually-moraled date dutifully finished the Colt 45 (I got stuck with St. Ides) and we too ended up getting funny. My roommate got the Mickey's, which was everyone's first choice. It wasn't until the next morning's headaches that we learned our lesson:

Don't do Malt Liquor Night again.

Colt 45 packs a punch. A friend bought me one as a gag gift for my birthday one year. I had had a couple before I cracked the Colt, but nothing too much, a slight buzz or a touch more. After the Colt? I was very silly. :o

I hadn't thought about Malt Liquor Night for years, and I just remembered that the date I had was from Tawas, Michigan - odd only because we were both in Boulder, CO and I, too had grown up in Michigan. She was a former Saginaw Valley State girl, and I have goodwill toward that school (that I had never heard of before) for this reason alone.

Ahh, the deeds of days long vanished!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

What fun is that? You'll have that blacked out in an hour...
Even on a slow day, I had that card blacked out at Sam's Club in about a half hour.

Ok, the way I see it:

Evening, Lodge. Took bratwurst, split it down the middle, threw it on an English muffin, and turned it into a sandwich with lettuce and mustard.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

Could you post the recipe in the Cooks thread, please? I've been looking for a better way to enjoy steak, and you may have just enlightened me...
Will do. Probably tomorrow.
You're lucky that bolded word is there

;)

In a weird case of fiction becomes reality - less than 15 minutes ago I killed one of my roosters. He was persistent in jumping on my stuff as I was unpacking from hunting. After chasing him away several times, I kicked toward him, and he tried giving me the spurs. I got hold of a wing in mid air, and grabbed his neck, tucking him under my arm so he couldn't move. I rung his neck, which the rest of the flock found a bit disturbing while watching from under the pine trees.
Chicken. It's what's for dinner.
 *thumbs up*
Double, but with good reason:

Mookie????

(570): I just made this asian woman on the boardwalk that was giving 20 dollar massages upset after I asked her if a happy ending comes with it.
Heh -- that's from my home area code. :p
Look, we all go way back and uh, I owe you from the thing with the guy in the place and I'll never forget it.
I'd never been to Belize before.

Connie is pretty awesome. She has enough cajones to try and take on Michael after he takes care of her husband!

Back from my parents' house for the weekend with tcbg. Went kayaking, swimming, and to the Italian Fest. :)

Nobody wants to be Sinatr-- I mean Johnny Fontane?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

Ok, the way I see it:

bando: Appolonia (Michael Corleon's Italy girl)

So... I get to be an absolute dish? Awesome. I get to marry [and presumably you-know-what] with young!Al Pacino? Awesome. I get to be Italian? Awesome.

Being blown up? Not so awesome.

"Maundy, Tuesday, Thursday..."

There's only two Godfather movies in a lot of our opinions, the third one "doesn't exist." I and II are the ones that are must-see films. Goodfellas also would be an outstanding choice of film.

QFT.

Nobody wants to be Sinatr-- I mean Johnny Fontane?

Psh. That guy was a pu ssy.

Hell, I thought it must have been in a previous post! Then I'M Michael, dammit!

ASaaG: I want you to head out to California and get a client of mine a part in a movie. By the way, do you like horses?

(Or did Vito give him that assignment?)

That would have been Don Vito. That happened I believe the day after Connie's wedding.

By the way, is Uncle Junior also going to be Johnny Ola from GFII, seeing as they're technically the same person? ;)

Once again...MNS is not Fredo. Michael would fit (besides the whole 2 gf's thing obviously)...Fredo does not. :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

Wrong. Fredo bricks. You are Fredo. Period.:p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 82: Games in a Season for the big boys

I am not Fredo. Exclamation point.

You. Are. Fredo.

Hell, I wanted to be Paulie from Goodfellas, but that wasn't happening. I apparently am Ace Rothstien from Casino.

To put it another way:

Mr. Pink: Hey, why am I Mr. Pink?
Joe: Because you're a fa*ot.
Mr. Pink: Why can't we pick our own colors?
Joe: No way, no way. Tried it once, doesn't work. You got four guys all fighting over who's gonna be Mr. Black, but they don't know each other, so nobody wants to back down. No way. I pick. You're Mr. Pink. Be thankful you're not Mr. Yellow.
Mr. Brown: Yeah, but Mr. Brown is a little too close to Mr. Sh*.
Mr. Pink: Mr. Pink sounds like Mr. Pus*. How 'bout if I'm Mr. Purple? That sounds good to me. I'll be Mr. Purple.
Joe: You're not Mr. Purple. Some guy on some other job is Mr. Purple. Your Mr. PINK.
Mr. White: Who cares what your name is?
Mr. Pink: Yeah, that's easy for your to say, you're Mr. White. You have a cool-sounding name. Alright look, if it's no big deal to be Mr. Pink, you wanna trade?
Joe: Hey! NOBODY'S trading with ANYBODY. This ain't a goddam, f*ing city council meeting, you know. Now listen up, Mr. Pink. There's two ways you can go on this job: my way or the highway. Now what's it gonna be, Mr. Pink?
Mr. Pink: Jesus Christ, Joe, f*ing forget about it. It's beneath me. I'm Mr. Pink. Let's move on.
Joe: I'll move on when I feel like it... All you guys got the goddam message?... I'm so goddam mad, hollering at you guys I can hardly talk. Pssh. Let's go to work.

Never seen the movie. I know I need to...but, never have, so it doesn't apply. :D

Tell you what. You head over this coming Sat, you will watch it, and then we'll head to OC for NFL Sunday on Sunday morn. Discount appetizers, free pick'em games, etc.

I may not move fast, but that's because I don't have to move for anyone!

(Yeah, I'm quite alright with being Paulie. Even if you did treat me like a jerk, like I was never nothing to you.)

Also, how can both mookie and the Monster be Frank Carbone? mookie should be Morrie, and Dirty should be Billy Batts.
