Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 79: A decade of USCHO

I know she's Irish, but isn't she a little young to be dancing with a Guinness in her hand?

And isn't there a real risk of spilling some? Those Irish dances are pretty active.
You get to dance and drink and punch your relatives at the same time.

Good morning, Lodge. I really don't see the point of working a 4 hour shift, but better to work four hours than none at all...

Howdy kids. Back from Chicago. Uneventful trip home. Landed 25 minutes early - yay! Then we start taxi-ing away from the American terminal. Because naturally, no available gate. *sigh* So we de-planed at the normal scheduled time.

Took the T home. Called my dad when I got home because he had taken my car in for an oil change on Monday, they told him something was wrong with my right front tire (there was a bubble on it) and it needed to be replaced. Wanted to get the final result of that. He had them put the spare on and went to his car mechanic guy who fixed it cheaper. Yay dad!! He also was at my place yesterday morning because they were doing fire alarm testing and someone needed to be at my place. My lazy good-for-nothing brother visiting from LA chose not to stay over my place and help me out. :) So, while we're chatting, I say "Im hungry, I'm going to head out to get something." Hang up, go outside to drive over to Kelly's and my car is not in its spot. The plan was my dad was going to drive my car over (since he had it earlier in the week) when he came for the fire alarm testing. I called him back to say "Where is my car??????" It was at their place. I was like "Hi, remember when I said I was going out to get something to eat? Could you have mentioned it then so I didn't have a heart attack thinking my car was stolen? And how am I supposed to drive up to meet you all on Friday if I don't have it??" I love my family and truly appreciate all the help they give me but sometimes they drive me cah-razy.

Just saw this on the comcast.net news site.

Pictures speak a thousand words
A driver in Campbell, Calif., got a $45 ticket after his car was caught on photo radar. In response, he sent the Campbell Police Department a photo of $45. The police chief then sent the driver a photo of handcuffs. The driver paid.

:D

Good Morning Lodge!

In Green Bay and have some down time in between tests that I'm observing...

I thought the same thing! :D

ANd what does Irish have to do with it? I drink Guinness almost exclusively, and I have zero Irish in me. For that matter, I'm one of the rare Minnesotans with zero Scandinavian blood either, and both sides of the family have lived in MN since the 1860's
I'm Minnesotan and 100% Scandinavian.
Stop being a vag.
I concur.
Bang the cougar before work, problem solved.

Speaking of food -- (and Kelly's, insomuch as it's near my new place), have you been to Santorini's on Revere Beach? It looks nice, wasn't sure how good the food was. Thought I'd ask the resident Greek food specialist :)

No, I've never been. Seen it, walked by it several times, never went in though. If you plan to go, let me know - maybe I can join you since you now live so close!

:D

Uhhh, thanks?? Considering I have neither a Twitter nor a Facebook page of my own, not sure how that will happen. Though it is an interesting idea that I will propose.

Santorini = greek? :confused:

Why the  ? You do know that Santorini is one of the Greek isles, don't you???

I was thinking the same thing!!

::waves:: Hi Nathan. I realized I never gave you my cousin's husband's name. D'oh! But since you're headed back here at the end of the month, I can send it on over.

....
The reason you aren't whining about that is because they don't ask you out and try to cut into your sleep time. It'd be like a girl wanting to do something with you at 7 a.m. on a weekday before you go to work, which equals *'d up and undesirable circumstances.
Stop whining. You work crappy hours and will have to sacrifice your schedule to go on dates. Deal with it. When I dated a guy that worked night shift we both had to make sacrifices in our schedules, and often missed out on sleep. However, I was happy to have time to spend with him...much better than time wasted sleeping.

Of course, I say time wasted sleeping when right now I'm so *ing tired I feel like throwing up. I've slept a total of 3 hours since Tuesday afternoon. Stupid jet lag.

Nice. My flight from Shanghai got in about 30 minutes early and we sat on the plane because customs didn't open until 10 am (we arrived at the gate at 9:45).

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 79: A decade of USCHO

Ehhhh, I was wearing a hoody most of the time, more because of the wind than the cold. There were some days in mid JULY that the highs up on superior were in the 40's.

Morning lodge! Gonna be hitting the road from Binghamton to Richmond here pretty soon.
Yeah, thats about what I though.

Irish Fair this weekend in St. Paul. I will be the guy watching his daughter dance with a Guinness in one hand trying to figure out how to clap with the other. :)
Slapping of the thigh would work if you can't balance your Guinness on your head. ;)

A cougar wants me to go golfing with her tonight. However, in order to do this, I gotta wake up two hours earlier than usual, plus it's during my work tour so I'm already *'ing tired. Needless to say, I'm less than enthusiastic about this idea.
See your rep.

Would you get up ridiculously early to golf with a cougar when you know you aren't getting in her pants at the end of the date? And would you do this before going to work? :p
Sometimes you gotta invest some time in them before you get into their pants. You probably wouldn't be at your best anyways, so do the quick golf date, BE a good sport about it, and then later on you can set yourself up for a more eventful date.

Anyone else having trouble getting Facebook to load?
It was a bit glitchy today.
