Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 79: A decade of USCHO

Huh. A group who organizes adult pick-up games has a beginner level one scheduled on a 3 on 3 rink right after my kid 's team plays there next Monday. The only downside I can see is that all the kids can watch and laugh at me. Maybe I can get the kid who whacked me to open the doors for us and I can get him back.:)

Sometimes you gotta invest some time in them before you get into their pants. You probably wouldn't be at your best anyways, so do the quick golf date, BE a good sport about it, and then later on you can set yourself up for a more eventful date.
and he should remember, chicks dig the longball, I'm talking 300+ yard drives!;)

I haven't golfed in at least two years, so I'll just be happy to keep it in play and not take any 8's. I think I got about 3 hours of sleep today. Lovely.

In play and no 8s is a good plan. I play regularly, granted not very well, and still usually manage at least one 8 a round.:(

Have an energy drink, its like liquid sleep.

I don't drink energy drinks - I do, however, consume mt dew. Thin mints and mt dew is a healthy way to wake up, isn't it? :D

Thankfully I'm only playing 9 holes, and the course is all par 3's and 4's (par 31 overall). If I just play all irons, I should do ok. The only thing a driver does for me is allows me to hit it a ton and further right than the KKK.

bando says that there's nothing wrong with using the driver.

Driving by the Lodge.... seems the forums are now offlimits at work. Will wait till fall to try and talk to the VP in re-instating it. Not worth the headache for now.

Santorini = greek? :confused:

Even I knew that Santorini is greek (although I didn't know it was an isle). We have a Santorini's Taverna here in MN (and it rules, of course).

Glad to see Bakunin stopped imitating SloeVag and manned up.

Paging West Texas. Paging West Texas. If you're not on night maneuvers.....report front and center on the double.
How goes it Dubya? :D
All's quiet on the Southwestern Front. Night shift tonight again in the whirlybird. Early this AM we flew a alcoholic meth-head who rolled her car in Eastern NM. Does that count as my good deed for the day? Sometimes I wonder!

Tomorrow night I am off, and the St. Pauli Dark is already in the beer crisper at the bottom of the refrigerator, calling my name.

How's God's Country?

An alcoholic meth-head. Family member of yours, is she?

All's well here in the Mile High City. Summer has arrived with a vengeance as the 90 degree days are here in full force for the next week to ten days. Mrs. Shot and I are heading to our favorite bed and breakfast in the Springs this weekend. Want me to stop by and say hello to the brass for ya? :D I'll look into the hold-up on your paperwork at Stat-Com-Pac.

We'll be heading to two great restaurants [one in the Springs, one in Cripple Creek] as well as taking a hike or two and playing a round of golf on a course we haven't played. Really looking forward to it.

Have a Pauli girl for me, too. ;)

Awesome!

And which restaurant in the Springs? I'll be spending a couple days there also, when I'm on Operation Colorado, and am always looking for ideas.

Will do. Perhaps even two.

I don't know the city well, but I recommend the Golden Bee - more for the beer & atmosphere than the food. They serve yards & half yards of good English beer, and it sits on ground made hallowed by college hockey legends: the first ten Frozen Fours took place a stone's throw from there.

Plus they have good beer.
