I'll tell him to do that if he promises to keep the hockey rinks nice, and the outside temp to never get below 40 degrees. :p

we've finally been getting some heat, and i so look forward to tyler's summer hockey nights.... nothing like walking into a barn in shorts and a t shirt and becoming immediately comfortable :)

Paging West Texas. Paging West Texas. If you're not on night maneuvers.....report front and center on the double.

How goes it Dubya? :D

Evening all. Great day in the park looking at rocks! :)

2007 Dodge Dakota for me, 39k on it, pulls around 18 mpg on the highway (will go over 20 if I drive it nice, but I'm typically going too fast to get gas mileage that good :D )

Long overdue pictures of the chickens, run and coop

I'm still plugging away at the coop. Need to add a ceiling, nest boxes, perches and full walls. I'm getting there though. I expect to start seeing eggs toward the end of September.
Forget the eggs, how about fresh BBQ chicken?
Morning, kids! Family drama (jewish relatives always meddling...) started at 7:28 this morning (I opted not to pick up my phone for the sake of my sanity). Ralph -- are you interested in a new wife? Maybe getting her laid regularly would make everyone's life less miserable. She's rich. :p
Trying to get rid of Ralph? :p
It took decidedly longer than usual, but summer finally seems to be setting up shop in Denver. Two ninety-plus degree days yesterday and today and the long range forecast is calling for low nineties for the next week or more. I don't usually enjoy long stretches of uninterupted ninety degree weather, but I must say I'm looking forward to a little summer heat.
Mid 60s for highs here today, and it felt wonderful! Perfect weather for hiking, no need for a coat and didn't get too hot.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 79: A decade of USCHO

taking my car (99 Toyota Corolla) in tomorrow to have them look at the fuel line... I'm fairly well convinced at this point that I'll end up selling the thing in the first month of living in Arlington... or throw it into the ocean. The ocean is more tempting.

Anybody here living without a car? I think I can do it but I might have to get a granny cart for groceries.

I may be considered tasteless in my humor, but somethings are just going too far. Regardless of whether it's a dual identity or not.
That's just wrong.

BBQ chicken sounds great right now. Then again, what doesn't?

Had a great time at the Family Force 5/Fireflight concert tonight. Needed it after receiving another call telling me that my hours had been cut again.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 79: A decade of USCHO

Yeah, but you have to drive a Scion:p

I'll stick to my truck. The 16MPG is better than the 13MPG that my old one got, which was better than the 11MPG that my first one got.

It is definitely a love it or hate it car, but I've changed some opinions once people rode in it. Tons of space, great gas mileage, and I just had to replace the front brake pads for the first time, and the rears are only half way gone at 98k miles. Mostly highway miles, but still pretty impressive.

Staying in Binghamton tonight, going on to Richmond tomorrow. Supposed to be summer weather this weekend, along with the mid-Atlantic humidity, probably won't be pleasant. However, it will be nice regardless to know summer does indeed exist.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 79: A decade of USCHO

Tell your God he can take the upcoming heatwave and shove it. That 94 in forecast for The D on Sunday is unacceptable! :D

**** right about that!! It can stay around 75 all summer long. I just wish we could get some more rain around here. Lawn is turning brown and dust is everywhere. A good all night soaker would just what we need. Not a whole lot of rain all at once, but more than enough to cut the dust down and soak into the ground a little bit without running off right away.

Yeah, out on that boat, all summer, you've probably have been wearing light sweaters or vests perhaps while out on deck. It can be chilly out on them Lakes.

Ehhhh, I was wearing a hoody most of the time, more because of the wind than the cold. There were some days in mid JULY that the highs up on superior were in the 40's.

Morning lodge! Gonna be hitting the road from Binghamton to Richmond here pretty soon.
