Made it to work at the crack of 6:30. That's a solid effort for a Monday.

Managed to finish off 3 books this weekend.
- The Brothers Karamazov
- Animal Farm
- Catcher in the Rye

Now starting on:
- The Great Gatsby
- 1984

Those aren't very long. Maybe 450 total pages. So I think I'll head back to a russian author after I am done.

- Catcher in the Rye

Now starting on:
- The Great Gatsby
- 1984

Those aren't very long. Maybe 450 total pages. So I think I'll head back to a russian author after I am done.

I read all but the first one when I was a kid, for fun (talk about nerd- I also read the Odessy and the Illiad on my own and loved them when I was in 5th grade. Hated them when they were required later).

Presently reading the second book in a series about Mary Magdalene being married to Jesus. Interesting history stuff but not light reading.

Maxim Gorky's Untimely Thoughts,
Alexander Solzhenitsyn's Gulag Archipelago (abridged, unless you have the time!), or
Boris Pasternak's Dr. Zhivago if you prefer novels.

And, if you'll excuse the spelling, Dobri Utra!

I've read Dr. Zhivago. Was a book report in my school days. My feeling is that I will either read Crime and Punishment or Anna Karinna (more likely).

Morning lodge, wish this wonderful weekend didn't have to be over. At least Im on an abreviated work schedule this week - on today, off tomorrow (always get tuesday off no matter what), on wednesday & thursday and off the weekend to go out of town again

Having to read certain books usually makes them seem worse to me.

The majority of books I read these days have mostly pictures and are fairly easy to read. When I read these books I do try to get into character which has to count for something.............
