Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

Good morning, kids! Awesome weekend of relaxing seems to be followed up by nightmare-ish day at work. Am thinking that I may have regrets about taking this job as well. Not sure what that means for the future. :( *sigh*

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

The majority of books I read these days have mostly pictures and are fairly easy to read. :) When I read these books I do try to get into character which has to count for something.............;)
So, you try and sound like the Bunnies when reading your Playboys, huh? How do the lil g's take this? ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

That doesn't look a darn thing like a chicken coop. I think you're getting hosed.

It sure is what I want my coop to look like. :D

Psst, maybe your realtor hasn't shared this with you yet, but that's a condo, not a house. ;)

I know. Technically it's a townhouse, not a condo. But that works for us.

Nice place. Room for chicks (as is little chix.):p

That's the plan. ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

We close on a house at the end of the month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is the link to it...
Congratulations! :)

S'upp y'all....
Already done two loads of dishes, changed the cats' litter boxes, swept the kitchen floor, made coffee, and worked out. Waking up at 6 AM sucks.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

My apologies...
Congrats to the Chickens! That's a very nice nest you look to be starting.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

Had a weird dream last night. I was sitting in a library somewhere familiar (but I don't know where) with Scarlet and a bunch of other people. I knew who she was, but she didn't know me. I kept telling her that she needed a margarita. She looked at me funny and asked me "Are you Hammer?". I told her yes, she nodded her head, and then the alarm went off.

So you woke up before the good part? Don't you hate it when that happens!;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

No, no, it wasn't like that. It was more amusing.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

Now you guys just watch. I've probably scared Scarlet away from the Lodge for about a month.

When little was 4 he was fascinated by all things medievil. It is hard to get into character for "Social aspects of Saxon villages" which I thought he got out to read the pictures and he most definitely got out so I could read it to him:eek:

Congratulations! :)

So far- 3 loads of laundry- another going, emptied out the computer 'hutch' so I could put the scanner in, moved everything around. Swore at the 100+ feet of cable that attaches all the gadgets, after a cranky fit decided to use painter's tape to keep them in seperate little 'balls' of cord, emptied out the drawer of stuff in the hutch that we haven't cleaned out in 5 yrs and threw stuff out, put most everything away that came out of said hutch, helped lil as he does the same sorting in his room as he reconstitutes it (just painted it and put a new floor in), vacuumed and are now heading downstairs to clean out the pit (our fond name for our finished basement). We have company coming this WE which means we have to rearrange everything.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

Winger, that's the exact opposite train of thought by most females regarding this career, usually we're away too much, and things fall apart. It definitely isn't a career thats ideal for having a family, but there are ways to make it easier, and the pay is typically really good.

Yeah I am not like most people.....

The entire parking lot where my car is, is totally flooded! (Luckily I have an SUV, so it's high enough off the ground that I'm not worried about any real damage). And, of course, because the MBTA can't perform it's services correctly in any precipitation, I was 15 minutes late to work on a day when my coworker wasn't there to cover (she has the day off) and I was informed that I need to constantly follow up on one of my bosses on absolutely everything because he can't be held responsible for doing things. That would be okay, if he was my only boss...
The problem with the MBTA....

Actually no I wont go on.
I do laugh when people are like, "you should go work there...." Its like why, they wouldnt hire me, I actually do work. (and I would feel like I am selling my soul to the transit devil). Then again I am starting to look at private sector jobs.

sucks to be me then...I have a former coworker who is stalking some of us former employees on twitter, facebook, etc.
I stalk you too...Is that still ok?

Oh excellent program!

In Duluth? No you can't. In fact, you know what they do in Duluth during the summer?
They have a picnic.

I like Duluth.....I think I should plan another visit!

No rain at Fenway. ROASTING hot in the bleachers where we were. There with L'il, Mr and my mother who is not built to hike up the bleachers, sit in the hot or walk to the T etc. Made it through. They lost, keeping my streak of never seeing a winning game there yet. Got home to floodwatch and wet roads with big trees floating by in the Merrimack heading down from No Chelmsford.

I don't know what is worst, all the rain or this really uncomfortable weather. I remeber when summers were not so uncomfortable and the winters will still cold enough to have things freeze!!! Other than last winter, I feel like I left winter behind just moving two hours east!

*sigh* I'm hoping that changing from the B-line (green) to the blue line will alleviate some issues...

Of course it is! :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 78: The Rep Lodge Yacht club.

For those of you who have been keeping score at home and have followed my posts you know that on occasion I take issue with my mother in law. In all honesty I treat her with respect and no matter how much I would like to give her a piece of my mind I always take the high road.

I just came across some information that cannot pass without addressing her. It will mean throwing her in front of the proverbial bus. Mrs. g just informed me that her brother and her parentrs are coming over tonight.

So, do I confront her with everyone present or do I have a one on one with her????????????

Personally, I think it depends. Is this this information something that directly impacts everyone in a negative way? If so, then it should be out in the open. If it only impacts you, or you and your wife, perhaps it might be best to confront her either alone or with the wife present.
